Hey, do you all think people will buy artwork made from Bryce? I am thinking
of creating some nice stills, creating posters for them, and then selling
them at various poster shops. I also own 3D Studio Max and I really can't
get the hang of it, it seems much more fun making terrains and surrealistic
landscapes using Bryce.

Also, would selling artwork used from Bryce break any copywrite laws or
whatever? Or maybe getting a used texture off the web and using it with
Bryce?

If you download models and/or textures from the web then you are subject to
the copyright laws of the actual owners of the web. Simply because someone
puts it on the web, does not mean that it is free of copyrights.

Many companies put models "FREE" on the web, but have strict rules against
anyone reselling them, or using them in a commercial situation.

However, if you were to actually create the models yourself, and create all
the textures, and THEN render the graphic in BRYCE, then that would make you
the owner of the graphic, and you would be free to do what ever you want
with it.

That's what Bryce was created for after all. To make GRAPHICS! And it does
it really well.

It is a tool, which was created for computer artists to make graphics.

However, BRYCE is copyrighted and therefore you could NOT give copies of it
away, or resell it in any manner, without permission from Metacreations.

Most people don't care if you use their models in your pictures.
Even Zygote doesn't mind.
They just don't want you selling the actual model. IMHO
