First of all...TICKETS ARE ON SALE. GO BUY!
You can purchase passage at the official C15 website: http://convergence15.com/
The hotel block is NOT on sale yet, but it will be soon, and you'll
hear it here first.
We have also arranged for a special discount from JetBlue. JetBlue
services the lovely Long Beach Airport (really...it's lovely; TSA is a
breeze there, and the airport is rarely crowded, making for a
generally pleasant experience...plus, the airport serves Polly's
Coffee, which is a mom 'n' pop coffeehouse in Belmont Shore).
To get the C15 rate, book the lowest fare online and use this code:

Right. Now I have to somehow find a way of getting to Long Beach :D
EdwardS, thinking that signing up to the Continental reward scheme might
actually have been a smart move.

I'd suggest a plane. Not only would the swim across the Atlantic be rather
tiring, but it's a hell of a walk from there. :)
If you swam through the Panama canal, you could cut the walking down to
basically zero.

It was tough enough getting two weeks for the Med. (Five more weeks to
wait!)

Either way, it'll remind the clued that there's only one letter

DONE!
For the third year in a row, I'm sure I won't be able to
pull enough resources together to go, but I have bought my
laminate anyway. I am hoping that, for the third year in a row,
life will surprise me again.
`una - see y'all in Long Beach!

Good plan, us Brits could 'reclaim' the boat while we're there and just
bring it home. Free UK holiday for anyone that stays with us, we could
be back in time for Whitby.
Anyone know how to sail it? And equally important, do you reckon they'd
mind us parking it in Whitby?

I shall quote from the FAQ on the convergence 15 website:
Q: “How permanent can those moorings possibly be?”
A: Very. Mac, don’t even think about it.
Sure, this was in response to Macross thinking along the same lines as
you.. but it fits..

Plus there's a Foxtrot submarine parked right next door.
Way more fun.

Plus, we found out today that the Queen's engines were removed when
the City of Long Beach acquired her. You won't get far in an ocean
liner with no engine...unless you had the world's largest outboard
motor (and Mac, don't even think about THAT either). ;)

Ooh.. I like the idea of that. Much more opportunity to scare people by
popping above water now and then next to cruise ships... :o)
