*twitch* I know you meant whose.
Anyway, it's looking more and more like a good time to become more
independent of the parentals. Good luck.

Erm. . .oops.
Oh. It turns-out he's been back at work since August.
-TenshiKurai9, regular flu shots were mislabeled as H1N1 so turns-out I
haven't been vacinated against H1N1 yet.

Mislabeled vaccines?!?!? Who the hell did they get them from, a Kwikee
Mart?!?!?
Jesus fist fucking Christ. I'm real glad they didn't give you something like
chemo meds!

Whenever people say socialized medicine will ruin healthcare I like to
point at things like this. Healthcare is already ruined. They're just
good at keep the stories out of the press. Probably what happened was
some pharmacy company had too much regular flu vaccine and not enough
H1N1 so they switched labels. They could probably charge more for it
as well.
I suspect the whole point of HIPAA regulations was actually to keep
the media from revealing such things.

CDC, I think. Apparently we're not the only group that had this
happened to them.

*twitch* I have been rather sick lately, but I'd rather let my body
fight it out than get a mislabeled vaccine.... plus that only
encourages the money-making industries to send out more vaccines that
we "must" get.... After some of the news reports I've been reading, I
am glad that I haven't gotten the h1n1 vaccine.

I care less about not getting sick than not being a vector. Vaccines are
good.

themselves in the foot. C++ will happily load the gun, offer you a
drink to steady your nerves, and help you aim.

I care a great deal about both being not sick and about other people not
being vectors. My immune system only seems to be good enough to reduce
the severity and length of an illness with my own vaccination, so I'd
really like the people around me to be vaccinated too. And to fscking
*stay home* when they know they're ill.

I often don't respond to you because I feel like I should to spend a
couple of hours crafting a well thought out response. I just don't
have time for all that. When I do come up with something often a year
has passed.
I think you have something in that post that feels false but I can't
decide what it is.

WI seems to have a particularly nasty version. There've been 43 deaths
total, and over 800 hospitalizations since Sept 1. Most area health
departments are running vaccine clinic weekly, and they're no longer
limiting to just high-risk groups.

My arrhythmia puts me in a high risk group, but
my severe allergy to eggs means I don't get vaccinated.
I've heard rumors of vaccines that aren't grown in eggs,
but being in a remote location means we don't get those,
if they happen to exist.
