Ah yes....
Before it went away and then came back, I got my hubby a copy of "A
Shoggoth on the Roof" for Yule one year.
It gets played often enough that I find myself pooh-humming "Byakhee
Byakhee" on occasion.

Probably the collection of Spike Jones (totally unrelated to Jonze,
who probably isn't as funny) and assorted other ww2 and post-war era
goofy songs. They're not exactly *guilty* pleasures, as I don't really
try to hide them, and often inflict them on unsuspecting guests. They
don't get played very often, but sometimes they do pop up on random
playlists, which makes me kind of happy.

It's hard to summon up any guilt, but as for silliest...
Let's see, there's "Electric Tommy": instrumental versions of the
Who's "Tommy" performed on mogue synthesizer.
Then there's my "Slack Sax" record, a collection of Hawaiian Saxophone
music.
Maybe that 45 from 1960 or so, a pair of very hyper, female vocal,
Mambo music tracks, sung in Japanese.
Maybe the CD reissue of frog sounds of north america, or "insect noise
in stored food stuffs".
I can't say I play any of them very often, except for the Frog Sounds.

That would probably be the collection of Spike Jones, and other
assorted 1940s and 50s spoof music. The Ballad of Irving is a
particular favourite for no reason that I can figure out. They're not
so much guilty, though, as just ... admittedly silly.
It doesn't get played very often, but when the random setting does
find it, it makes me very happy. Also, I like inflicting it sometimes
on the unsuspecting, which isn't very nice, but usually makes them
laugh.

think I'd feel guilty about those either. I've learned to just be me and not
give a flying fuck about how others feel about my choices. I am who I am and
like what I like, take it or leave it.
OH! I have a Rick Astly cassette tape that I will be ripping soon-ish and
enjoying. :)
ALSO, I have the entire soundtrack to "Music & Lyrics" on my iPod for my
enjoyment. Can't get much cheesier than this... but dear Lord do I love
it...

Whenever I'm in the mood for them. I have an iPod connected to my car radio
and it holds a lot of my music collection. I typically set it on random and
just let whatever come out. So I can go weeks without hearing them or hear
them every day for a week. It all just depends on how the iPod shuffles the
songs.
Sheila Marie, even has a couple of Christina Aguilera & Kelly Clarkson songs
on her iPod.

Tuesday I had a lovely conversation with one of the stray cats that we've
been feeding. I have no idea what we were talking about, and I'm sure my
accent is horrible, but we exchanged meows for quite a while.

I don't really worry about this kind of thing - I don't feel
that sort of guilt - so I'm not sure I can answer this. My friend Bob
the Goldfish says that I have all the sorts of songs he remembers well
and finds fun at parties but never imagined anyone would actually own
(even on tinny mp3). From 'Clouds Across the Moon' to 'It's Raining
Men', 'Ra Ra Rasputin' to 'My Lovely Horse', it's all good. In fact, in
most circumstances I find that I can't get my head around that Earth
thing called shame. It is the anti-fun. People indulge in it when they
lack the guts to be real.

as a child who grew-up to hold degrees in law and medicine from Harvard
