I'm extremely new to collecting prints and paintings and I would like a few
suggestions from people that have more knowledge about art than I do. I have
a profound love of anything that could be considered darkly victorian-gaslit
streets and such. I've come across a few paintings that are not gothic but
give the feeling that I associate with gothic.

I suppose I'm drawn to the dark colors and lighting. Does anyone have any
suggestions on what I might like? I'm finding it very difficult to find
anything similiar. Here is another example by a artist named David Bowers
that did a cover for a great novel called Murcheston.
