[DC] Gothic Art Show Thursday, Feb. 8

This Thursday, Alchemy is pleased to present an exhibition of artwork by
some of D.C.'s most talented clubgoers. There's a wealth of talent in
our "scene," and we hope this Thursday will be the first of many chances
we have to display it. Both upstairs in the "VIP room" (turn right at
the top of the stairs) and downstairs in the rear lounge, we will
feature works by the following artists:

* Amy Melrose - performance artist featured at Art-o-Matic
* Myra Laird - painter who has exhibited at BaltiCon
* Michael "Arty" Auger - designer of Nocturnia Cheshire Cat logo
* Amanda Traczyk - art student and designer of Alchemy grrl logo
* Melanie Turner - bartender and Corcoran Art School photography student
* Kirstin the Blue Vampire - Psychoburbia DJ and painter
* Damion Boulden - exhibit designer, sculptor, and illustrator
* Nate "Zilla" - Syracuse design graduate and surrealist painter

This diverse group's media include painting, sketches, sculpture,
photography and interactive exhibits, and styles ranging from gothic to
sci-fi to anime along with more traditional forms. There is no
additional charge for this event, although some of the works will be
available for sale. Please come out and enjoy the fruits of their
creative labors.

ALCHEMY takes place every Thursday night at The Cage
1811 14th St. NW, Washington, DC
Doors 9 p.m. * 18+ with ID
$7 cover * 2-for-1 before 10 p.m.
