I hate you. :) Congrats!

Great, now I'll feel even *more* like a teeny-tiny little slug around you...
Keeping up the thread, today I ordered a bunch of stuff from catalogs:
From Past Times: a book on art deco (to replace the one I gave to a
friend when I realized I'd *completely* forgotten his birthday...) and a
"Mad Bad & Dangerous to Know" t-shirt.
From Lillian Vernon: a set of pillar candles painted to look like
bamboo canes, and three little Japanese-style candle lanterns.
From Clifford & Wills: three square-neck tank tops, black, white and teal.
From Chadwick's: a silver-gray cotton twinset (mostly for on-air wear,
since they keep complaining I'm wearing stuff too dark), and a long
fit-and-flare gray knit cotton dress for warm weather.
Not a truly "goth" thing in the lot. But I'll make 'em goth.

I have a hankering for the fae water nymph look (unfortunately I
seem to end up more of a fairy heffalump), but I gave into the
temptations of the Bourjois Spring display, and got:-
- Pearl Eyeshadow in Vert Ondine - a shimmery white shot through with
pale green.
- Liquid Eyeliner in Anis - to match the shadow.
A whole loada Yardley stuff was on mega sale (Lipstick 1.25 UKP!!) so
I picked out:-
- Luxury Lip Colour, Very Violet - your basic standby dark berry.
- Lipsplash, Virtual - a sheer lilac.
- Lipsplash, Extravaganza - this is the big hit for me, a deep
matte red, with a 'beetle armour' depth to it. Feels very nice on
and wears well.
- Brush 'n' Blush, Purple Passion - bought to replace my Rimmel
Purple Rain Eyeshadow when it runs out, as it is an exact match -
hurrah!
*At Superdrug*
- a set of Jumbo Eye and Lip Pencils - pink, lilac, purple, cherry,
plum and violet. The last three colours are listed as lip pencils on
the packaging, but as the formulation is the same as the other three
I'm risking them as eye pencils too.
- batteries for the Furby.
*At Hennes*
- a peasanty summer dress - which I wore out that evening to go see
bands at a pub.
I think my personal shopping fairy godmother has returned :) Maybe
I'll try my luck at the second hand shops next week - thats if
Valkyrie hasn't snaffled all the good stuff as per usual!

"Kaleidoscope" panties - these actually come with matching Wonderbras, but
they don't make the Wonderbra in my size. They are very silly, trashy-looking
lamé panties on a sort of rainbow fade bg with holographic shimmer.
Warner's Marilyn Monroe bra in a red rose pattern... very pretty. They were
out of the matching undies. I really want tights that look like this bra...
it's an allover sheer redrose pattern. and it was free (buy one, get one free
- it WOULD have been $4).
Jockey sports bra and exercise shorts for Tae-Bo purposes (yes, I've fallen
too).
& I went to see The Matrix. & I liked it *a*lot*.

You're in luck, I've been at work this week
I love Cambridge sometimes...
Valkyrie.
I thought you might be there! Hell, you probably did see me - hard to
miss seeing anyone in such a small room. I'd give you a visual
description but I don't think it would help you much (black hair,
black dress, black boots - hmmmmm).
You aren't by any chance going to see The Damned tommorow are you?
I'd love to say hello some time. If you are, look out for someone in a
green tunic over black trousers, accompanied by a short baldy-headed
man (love him really! hehehe).
If not, we must meet for cake and shopping some time (shop, then
cake, then shop some more :)

I saw the sweetest little black velvet dress on the market today -
unfortunately 'little' being the pertinent word.

On Monday:
That minty-green Bourjois liquid liner I've been wanting. When you dream
two night running about buying a particular eyeliner, you'd probably
better buy it...
A green crushed velvet short dress, 4.99 UKP
A short, full black crushed velvet skirt, 2.49 UKP
An electric blue stretch lace top with extra-short sleeves & eyelets
down the front which laces up! 3.49 UKP
A pack of cheap thermal socks, three pairs.
On Tuesday:
In another town, with my Mum, we trawled more charity shops where I
found:
A knee length black lycra dress with silver glitter dots, stretchy, but
with a full skirt & low neckline, 1.00 UKP!
A deep purpley-blue satin shirt with silver & pearl buttons, 1.00 UKP
A transparent green umbrella, new, 1.49 UKP
Some little-girl hair toggles with irredescent blue/purple plastic
flowers, 20p each
A kid's book on pirates, 25p
A fridge magnet of a vintage Bovril advert with a gourgeous gothy woman
on it, 69p
More thermal socks :)
Oh, & fondant fancies & bakewell tarts. Dessert at last :)

I bought that, it's really good! :o) I also bought their blue lippie,
now, it's a great colour but I have managed to use it twice - secnd time
I used it the bastard snapped off at the base....*grrrrrrrr*
Saiira
Oho...I saw no blue lippie in either of the shops I've seen the new
displays in...
What kind of blue was it? Is this Blue Magie from the regular range or a
new blue in this display of water-nymph stuff?
If this is a new blue lippie, I must be away to make it *mine*
Sorry about yours :(
Can you do the squish-it-into-a-pot & use a lipbrush?

Replying to myself, dearie me!
I went to a larger branch of Boots to check this out today & found two
new lipsticks I hadn't seen.
Not only a silvery blue (if rather thin & shimmery) but also a very
blue-lilac silvery colour :)
And they smell of roses!
I also found that as well as the green & blue pastel liquid liners,
there's a rather lovely lilac, not unlike the nice lilac liquid liner
that L'Oreal used to do :)
But I was seduced by that new Petunia stuff. Have you seen it?
I wrote about it in the thread entitled New Lurid Make-up, UK...
So I bought a Petunia blue liquid liner, 3.00UKP & a Petunia blue
glitter eyeshadow pot, 2.00UKP.
And a blue rose :)
Lucy
For $6 it seemed like it might be a good purchase and it glittered! And
it's sunscreen! (With my pale irish/scottish skin I start wearing sun screen
24/7)
Anyhow, so I brought it home and was severely disapointed by it's texture
and glitter coverage. It goes on oily and doesn't absorb into the skin at
all. The only way to get it to really rub into the skin completely
obliterates the glitter.
So easily sunburned glittergoths, just say no. The brand is Sungirl and the
label says it's made by a company called Natural Desires. "Your body will
sparkle as brilliantly as the sun." Cha right!
