conflict in Macbeth
Macbeth takes place in the 10th century at a time when the Celtic
Christian church was still an amalgamation of Christian and pagan
beliefs and rituals. Accordingly, the influences for these works come
from and in many cases represent a blending of Ancient Celtic and
Early Medieval Christian imagery.

These works combine modern imagery of the gothic style used in graphic
novels with
imagery inspired by Druid stone circles and stylized medieval
representations of the female face.
