Most claim to be an ethnic group, or nationality. Hating an ethnic
group isn't precisely racism, but it isn't precisely anything else in
English either. What do you call a "No Irish need to apply" sign? Anti-
Hibernian? Gaelaphobic?
Anti-semite has less impact partly because it applies only to Jews
(everybody has a race,so fighting racism is personal for everybody),
and partly because it's frequently thrown at anybody who dislikes
Israel, or any aspect of Israeli policy.

Regarding the title of this thread, I don't think anyone is "an
anti-semite". When people are drunk, they sometimes make comments about

Everyone is a racist to one extent or another, though most of the time it is
of the harmless
variety. Some breeds get along better than with others. But any

So, what are you going to do? Hunt him down and kill him with defamation so
as to force him into bankruptcy, lose friends and drive him crazy? This has
been done to other people who made anti-Semitic statements. Some were even
falsely accused and "set up" as patseys for some serious crime they did not
commit, and went to prison.
I will have you know, that doing that will then create a hundred times more
resentment at Israel and "Jews in general".
Just so you know, those will be the results of engaging in anything like
that.
