The Queen Mother went out as she lived- in style!

On the day of her death, asking her daughter to give her a bit of time alone,
the Queen Mum - with help from her staff - changed and when The Queen returned
found her mother dressed in one of her trademark pastel dresses and wearing her
pearls.

The old girl ALWAYS knew exactly what needed to be done.

How many of us get have the presence of mind when we are dying, to dress for
the occasion? I would say that the woman was had extraordinary
will-power---not to mention style. Who wants to go out in a faded old hospital
gown?

Are you saying she knew when she was going to die - are your saying
she topped herself?

Was her overdraft that bad?

Yes, I suppose you could say that she knew she was dying. People do, you know.

Well! She had to look nice didn't she? She was going to make her entrance
"into glory in the court of Lord or Lords and King of Kings."

I can't count the number of times I've heard the same story told about old
dragons here ... too weak to open their eyes, disoriented, in a hospital in
which the only clothes they have, stuffed into a hospital-issued plastic bag,
are those they came in with ... Their doctors, nurses and family members, we're
asked to believe, stand idly by as the patients take out their I.V.s,
disconnect their monitors, remove the oxygen tubes, make their beds, dress in
their best outfits, complete with stockings, make-up and their best jewels,
then lie on the coverlets, and after commending their souls to God, simply
close their eyes and heave their last.

I suppose if it can be said that half the old ladies around here die that way,
there's no reason why the rumor can't by used by the RF.
