A Van Gogh watercolour, unseen in public for almost 50 years and expected to sell for around £8 million, was unveiled in London today. Harvest in Provence (La Moisson en Provence) could become the most expensive modern picture sold in an European auction since 1990 when it goes on sale at Sotheby's in the summer. It was bought by a gallery in Paris in 1901 and later exhibited in 1914 in a Berlin gallery. After World War I broke out it was believed to be held by the Germans.
