Christians Trying to Convert CHILDREN.

Are they getting desperate now that no adult is listening to them?
A Muslim mother is taking a US Children Services agency to court for
trying to convert her kids into Christianity.

They have the right to speak their beliefs. The people who
don't think they should have that right, but want such a right for
themselves should be in jail.

Lobby your Congressperson. Knock on the doors of your local TV
stations.
Pass out flyers in the student unions of every college and university
in your area.
Phone and e-mail your state reps. Bug everybody unceasingly.

It's the American way.

Oops? Not a citizen? Do it anyway. That's what makes the good old
U.S. of A. so great--we actually tolerate and listen to contrarian
points of opinion. Laugh at 'em too...but that's grist for another
mill.

I haven't been following this story, but based on these tidbits, imagine the
outrage if Christian-raised kids were being "converted" to Islam!

Now that's an idea I can live with!

What I don't understand is the flack Christianity, out of the three
major religions or even religion in general, gets. I mean think about
it, Jesus is mocked with the same fervor as Bush all over the air waves
yet when somebody did so much as a cartoon on Muhammad there were riots
in the streets & political unrest. Plus the same folks who hollar down
with the Jesus freaks waving the Da Vinci Code wouldn't likely attack a
Buddist with such an insult. It's really very interesting.

Bullshit. There's a lot more hatred against other religions (Muslims,
for instance). If you want respect for YOUR religion, you'd better
learn to respect someone else's....and not try to "convert" their kids.
....and this means you, Mormons, too.

I can assure you that in the United States, it is not tolerated for
child protection agencies to interfere in the religious beliefs of
children in their care.

However, it appears the other item cited, in Singapore, is merely free
exercise of religious belief. There certainly are limits on what
strangers may say to minors not under their care, but public expression
of religious belief must be equally permitted for all faiths.

Your strong reaction (for example, using the term "morons") just proves
my point. Detractors of Christianity do not seem to separate the
teachings from the following. Just in the same way every Muslim is not
a terrorist, every Christian is not some intolerant jackass. And talk
about hatred, go to China, Iran, or even India and try to live without
strife as a Christian. The culture in the US does NOT reflect a good
portion of the world.
