"Sensational" Sherri Martel died this morning at the age of 49.
Details are still unclear at this point what she died from, though the
/Wrestling Observer/ is reporting that police were with her husband at
her Jacksonville, Florida, home. Her Wikipedia listing claims she died
in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Born Sherri Russell, Martel got into wrestling in the early 1980s. She
rose to fame as a wrestler in the AWA, and then added managing to her
skill set, taking "Playboy" Buddy Rose and "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers to
the AWA tag titles.
In the WWF, Martel was a manager and a wrestler as well, and eventually
the wrestling side faded away and she concentrated on managing.
Some of her charges included Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels and Ted
DiBiase in the WWF, and Harlem Heat in WCW.
In 2006, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

I had no idea she lived in Kingsport, TN. I live in Nashville, TN.
Anyways, drugs of course. Just like all the other WWE/WWF wrestlers
like the recent Eddie Guerero's heart was enlarged by the use of
steroids.
This is a crappy way to start the weekend. Goodbye Sista Sherri, now is
the time for the big push.
