Sometimes they form around airplane windows. I've been priviledged to see
a double rainbow, but of course never one that closed at the top.

As I live next to a lake, I have seen rainbows like this a lot. Have
seen double and even triple rainbows too.

Scientists and engineers can be notorious tightwads, too. I'm using a
freeware news client (XNews) with no spellchecker. Otherwise, I'm very
impressed with it.
