Still riding high from the success of her album, A Girl Like Me,
songstress Rihanna has agreed to shoot a series of ads for CoverGirl.
The ads will launch nationwide during the summer of 2007, but it is not
known if CoverGirl's campaign will work in conjunction with the
promotion of Rihanna's next album, also due in 2007.
Being shot by CoverGirl puts the 18-year old in a diverse group, one
featuring members like Queen Latifah, Christie Brinkley and Brandy. It
also helps fulfill one of Rihanna's childhood dreams. "I've loved
makeup and dreamed of being a CoverGirl since I was a little girl,"
said Rihanna via a statement. "Growing up, my mother was a makeup
artist and I was fascinated watching her apply lipcolor, blush and
mascara. Now I get to be surrounded by all of my favorites from
CoverGirl!"
Gina Drosos, Vice President and General Manager of Global Cosmetics,
Procter & Gamble Beauty (which owns CoverGirl), believes Rihanna is
exactly what beauty line represents.
"Rihanna is a talented, confident young woman who exemplifies the
CoverGirl ideals with her inner confidence and fresh beauty. We're
proud to welcome her to the CoverGirl family."
Didn't know they were sold....the quality of the products was MUCH
better when Noxell owned the company. I miss the Noxema creme being
added to the makeup.
Just slather on some bacon grease, it would suit you *perfectly*...
And your attribution here really SUCKS -- why on earth can't you learn how
to properly post...???
