Yah, nice jubblies, Mariah.. but what is especially entertaining in that
poster is the fact that half her body has been airbrushed out! Mariah ain't
no size 2! (my grammar fails a bit when i'm being catty...)

Aren't all videos and photos of MC about her breasts? Shame, too, she has a
lovely face. With proper styling she could be one of the most stunning
women around instead of just another hoochie mama.

No surprise since the studio barely released it. It isn't playing at a theatre
within 100 miles of me, and we get every film released. Very odd.

I can only assume that the low screen count is because the movie is terrible.
Anytime a major studio like 20th Century Fox releases a movie in anything under
2000 screens, its a good sign that the movie is a dog and they know that even
with heavy promotion, its got no chance. Fox also did this with Monkeybone
earlier this year.
It is also notable that Glitter ranked 96th in average critical scores this
year. The number of major movie releases so far this year? 97.
(No. 97 is Freddy got Fingered, btw).

Fox released it? No wonder. In my area National Amusements is the main
theatre chain and they refuse to show just about all Fox films. Sumner
Redstone (NA owner) is having a major fight with Rupert Murdoch and won't show
Fox films. MONKEYBONE didn't open here either.

It's the same hair disease both Krappie Mee and Dr Laura have, too--it just
keeps getting blonder and blonder, and the fact that blonde is a very bad
choice for these women doesn't keep them from letting it happen. There
seems to be an unwritten rule--you can always let your hair go lighter and
lighter, no matter how bad it ends up looking, but it is forbidden to go
darker, even when you really should.

Not that *anything* is going to help the wizened piece of shrew jerky that
is Dr Laura at this point, but I do find it interesting that the holier she
gets the blonder she gets...

I commented to my husband while we were watching that Mariah is starting to
look like Kathie Lee. Same Blonde hair, overly made up, inappropriate dress
for her build and clueless to how she somes across.

After watching the trailer on Quiktime, I would say wait until the pre-teen/
teenagers get a look at it. I would percieve that would be the audience for
it. I think I would even watch it on video....maybe....and I'm kinda old.

Well they better hurry up and get a look at it, because Glitter is now out of
the top 10. Yes, it spent exactly one day in the top ten movies list. It's
projected total gross is now less than $10 million, which will easily make it a
contender for biggest flop of the year.

I think they go blonde under the mistaken belief that it makes one look
younger. You see a lot of older women suddenly obsessed about turning
blonde.
A co-worker of mine did that. All she ended up looking was harsh and
brassy.

I'm no Mariah fan, but if the stress from this movie is part of what pushed her
over the edge, I'll spend $8.00 to see it to do my part to help her out. I
hate to see anyone that stressed about anything.

It was only one day's total, not a week's, but this is still worthy of

Well, I'm sure it's not as bad as the Vanilla Ice movie, since she's already
made almost as much, in one day, as his did in it's one week of release.
