MILL RUN, Pa. (AP) -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie visited
Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural masterpiece, where
they celebrated the actor's upcoming birthday, Fallingwater's curator
of education said.

The unique home spans Mill Run, a creek that flows through woods about
50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Wright built the home for department
store magnate Edgar Kaufmann Sr. in the 1930s. The American Institute
of Architects voted it the "Building of the 20th Century."

"Brad said he had wanted to experience Fallingwater ever since he took
an architectural history course in college," said curator Cara
Armstrong. "He and I talked quite a bit about design and art. He was
incredibly well-informed about architecture."

Armstrong said she led Pitt and Jolie on a two-hour tour Thursday that
was followed by a private birthday celebration for Pitt in
Fallingwater's living room. The actor will be 43 on Dec. 18.

"Brad said he had a visual sense of Fallingwater but experiencing it in
person, hearing the sound of the waterfall cascading under the house
and smelling the wood from the fireplace, was better than anything he
could have imagined," Armstrong said.

Pitt's new movie, "Babel," from Paramount Vantage, is now in theaters.
Jolie, 31, has been filming "A Mighty Heart," based on a memoir written
by Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain journalist Daniel Pearl.

Jolie's new film, "The Good Shepherd," will be released by Universal on
Dec. 22.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Hollywood's hottest couple, blew into
frigid New York yesterday with two of their children, Maddox and
Zahara, in tow. Jolie, a U.N. goodwill ambassador, wore a stylish
snow-white trench coat as she and the family, outside Lee's Art Shop on
West 57th Street, replaced their Third World tropical garb with
cold-weather glam to fight the Big Apple chill. Jolie, 31, is in town
hawking her new film, "The Good Shepherd," directed by Robert De Niro
and starring Pitt's "Ocean's Eleven" co-star Matt Damon. "The Good
Shepherd," detailing the early history of the CIA, is the first movie
De Niro has directed since 1993's "A Bronx Tale" and Jolie's first film
since she and Pitt fell in love on and off the set of last year's "Mr.
& Mrs. Smith." PHOTO: http://snipurl.com/14n93

The troops at the USO gala at Cipriani 42nd Street cheered when they
were told Jon Voight flew in overnight to emcee their event on short
notice. "Now you know where Angelina got her charitable genes from,"
they were told.

STAR MAGAZINE....
How did Angelina treat Brad for his 43rd birthday? She took
architecture-loving Brad on a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's
Fallingwater, an architectural treasure, on Dec. 7 in Mill Run, Pa.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Brad, who turns 43 on Dec. 18,
and Angelina were picked up at the Latrobe airport and driven to
Fallingwater for a two-hour, private tour. "Brad said he had wanted to
experience Fallingwater ever since he took an architectural history
course in college," said Cara Armstrong, Fallingwater's Curator of
Education. "He and I talked quite a bit about design and art. He was
incredibly well informed about architecture.

"Brad said he had a visual sense of Fallingwater but experiencing it in
person, hearing the sound of the waterfall cascading under the house
and smelling the wood from the fireplace, was better than anything he
could have imagined," Armstrong said. Brad and Angelina commented on
the beauty of the Laurel Highlands' winter landscape.

Armstrong said the stars were "very gracious and very engaged in the
house. As we say in the Midwest, you could tell their mothers raised
them right."

Angelina arranged another birthday surprise of champagne and caviar,
which the couple privately shared after the tour. The two later invited
the staff to join them, where Angelina told the staff, "He's so hard to
buy for."

Now that she's broken up with Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Aniston can kill
some of those lonely hours learning to cook.

Jennifer recently contacted the Epicurean School of Culinary Arts in
West Hollywood and arranged to have one of the instructors come to her
home. "Jen's been getting private lessons," a source tells Star. "It's
costing her about $250 an hour. She's had a few lessons already. She's
always said she wanted to learn to cook. Poor Jen couldn't fry an egg.
Now she's finally doing it. She wants to be able to cook for dinner
parties - and the next man in her life, whoever that will be!"

Jennifer is very healthy, so she's learning low-fat recipes, the source
says: "Jennifer loves fish, so she's learning how to make dishes like
salmon with mango salsa and seafood kabobs. She learned how to bake
salmon with Dijon mustard that's really good. She has lots of cookbooks
that she's reading too." Oprah did give Jen a Rachael Ray cookbook,
Rachael is known for her simple quick cooking style. But, sorry, Oprah,
Jen aspires to be another Martha Stewart! "Jen doesn't want to be like
Rachael Ray and cook simple things, she wants to be like Martha Stewart
and be able to make complicated dishes like souffles. She wants to awe
people. She's learning that the trick is to personalize recipes, make
them your own.)

"Jennifer wants to cook a holiday meal with all the trimmings, a ham
with cloves, a turkey with stuffing, potato gratin and a cranberry
tart. She used to cater all her dinner parties, but Jen would like to
be the chef now. And she has a new beautiful kitchen to work in."
Jennifer's new Beverly Hills home is totally state-of-the-art.

Jen would have liked to cook Vince a gourmet meal, but that's not going
to happen now!
