I think the problem is with females and pop stars, not females who make
rock music. The above have been consistently good whereas the parade of
female pop stars pushed on the teen audience seems the ultimate triumph
of style over substance.

Its not the musicians fault. Some of todays stellar female musicians are as
good as any players out there. Its the fault of the audience who
continually buys up this disposable pop crap. I dont remember where I saw
it, but the demographic of American Idol is about 70% female. That should
tell you right there. The music companys continue to produce this stuff
because they know it will sell and they know who is buying it.

Lita could play really well. I was surprised to learn this recently, I only
really heard the Runaways stuff and she was terrible on that. But very
young. She worked hard at it and I saw a few videos on YouTube where she
was doing some advanced metal-type shredding.
