BURBANK, Calif. - Nicole Richie has been arrested on suspicion of driving
under the influence.
The Web site TMZ.com says she was busted early this morning in Burbank,
California, after police officers responded to a report of an SUV going the
wrong way down a freeway.
Officers say a screening showed she wasn't under the influence of alcohol.
They say she acknowledged having taken Vicodin and smoking pot. Police say
Richie was alone in the SUV.
In 2003, she pleaded guilty to heroin possession. The charges were dismissed
after she completed the terms of her probation.

A woman is watching tv when a news alert comes on, about a car going the
wrong way on the freeway. "OMG," she says to herself, "My husband has
to take that freeway to get home. I'd better give him a call to warn
him." So she calls him and says "Watch out. The news says there's a car
going the wrong way on the freeway."
"One!?" he says. "They're *all* going the wrong way!"
