What a choice to make. Rooting for Chip and Reichen to lose (and lose in the
same way one of my favorite season 3 teams, Heather and Eve, did) or the clowns
to lose. In the end, I hoped Jon and Al would get there in time, because they
have always gone out of their way to be pleasant, to take the extra step, and
showing that being thoughtful doesn't make you a bad player. Since they're
gone, I'll probably root for Reichen and Chip, but they have made so many
mistakes along the way that I don't see this happening; when one of them said
they were hoping their time in the game would pay off now, I kept thinking
about all the errors they've had and wondering if his quote was some sort of
karmic justice. They seem like nice enough people, especially Reichen, they've
made it this far in spite of some mistakes, and I would be happy to see them
win.
David and Jeff are negligible and although they remind me too much of the
season 1 and 2 winners, I wouldn't be disappointed if they won.
Kelly and Jon are bottom feeders and constantly range between dreadfully boring
to incredibly pompous and shrill. They love to take the low road, and I can't
think of one moment where I did not wince/yawn when they were onscreen. This
team are so in love with themselves that they do not need any prize money to
validate those big egos. I would say they won't win because of their
unflattering editing, but Flo won. So they may very well win. Well if they do,
so be it, I'll never have to see their ruddy faces again, but I still hope one
of the other teams win.
Jon and Al may not have won the money, but they had such grace, such class all
the way to the end. They won our respect and esteem, if nothing else. We'll
miss you guys.
Sorry if the subject gives away a spoiler. I thought I'd deleted that and
didn't realize I had not until a few moments ago. I should have been more
careful.

I was soooooooooo disappointed they were eliminated.
However, I'm going to root for Jon and Kelly because the other teams
bore me.

It never fails that the great teams always get last in elimination rounds. If
they had only arrived a few minutes earlier.

Jon and Kelly usually either offend me or bore me. They are devoid of any
personality beyond their sour comments. They're like androids who were stuck
with an Andrew Dice Clay tape to introduce them to human behavior. It's all
playground pissing contests with them. Like Jon's stupid little comment to
Reichen and Chip at the airport tonight. Maybe having a girlfriend who is twice
as butch as he is means he has to pour on the machismo, but it gets very dull
to watch after a while. At least it was fun sometimes to root against Flo, or
Wil, or the Guidos. They aren't even entertaining on that level. I would put
them very high on my most worthless teams of all time list (I don't think
they'd be #1, but they are definitely in the top 4).
The other thing that annoys me about Jon and Kelly (and I know it's a small
complaint, but there it is) is how often she has to bring up her being a woman
and everyone is going to count her out for being a woman. The only person who
keeps bringing up her gender is Kelly. If she's so insecure about being a woman
in this race, she doesn't have to push that on other people. If she loses, her
gender is probably going to be the first thing she brings up ("I did such a
wonderful job for being a woman"), but a loser is a loser, no matter what sex
she is. Between her carrying on about being a woman and her boyfriend's
homophobia, they have enough gender issues to waste away all that prize money
in years of therapy.

If I were here I'd wonder why her boyfriend is so interested in gay guys. I
don't think Chip would have brought the gay man comment up if Jon had not
mentioned this in the past (I wonder how many times Jon has said something and
we didn't get to see it). Then again, Kelly and Jon don't seem to have a
relationship based on any positive qualities, maybe she just wants to get
married before she turns 40 (how old is she, anyway, she looks about 35) and
doesn't care who she picks. The wedding vows will probably be:
Jon: I'M NOT GAY!!!
Kelly: AND I'M A WOMAN!!!
Jon/Kelly: WE'RE SO DAMN BAD!!!
On another note, it's amazing how little time is spent on David and Jeff. Has
any team ever had such a minimal role, all the way up to the finale?

Yes! I found her constant gender-related remarks very annoying. The
struggles she has had have been due to the fact that she is an
annoying flake, who spends too much time talking and not enough time
thinking things out or listening. I know plenty of women who have done
the things she's struggled with with no issues. She's just a horrible,
loudmouthed, melodramatic freak. I wanted to duct tape her mouth on
that rappeling challenge tonight. Try to conduct yourself with a shred
of dignity, you disgusting flake.
He's a creep as well, they deserve each other. I said it last week and
I'll say it again - Kelly and Jon are just ugly, ugly people. I really
hope they don't win.

She seems to expect people to care about her because she is a woman. I will
cheer for someone if he or she is a great player and has some good qualities.
If that is a woman (Jill, for instance), then I'll want her to win. If the
woman acts like an ass (Kelly), then I don't want them to win, like I would not
want a man to win if he behaved like an ass (Jon). The complaining about her
hand injury -- I still say she should have used her head instead of her hand
last week to break the board, she probably wouldn't have had any injuries up
there.
She reminds me of a player on Survivor last season (I don't know if you watch
Survivor or not), Deena, who kept making an issue of her gender. Everything was
all about her being a woman, how she had to do better because she was a woman,
she had to make sure she beat the guys because that would show them. They have
the same type of facial structure, and sandpaper skin tone. I can't remember if
Deena was also from New Jersey (nothing against New Jersey).

If Reichen and Chip do win, I will look forward to seeing the looks on Kelly
and Jon's faces. Reichen and Chip should say something like, "we're gay and
we're not women, and we won!!!", but they probably won't. But Reichen and Chip
need to start reading directions and mapping out every detail in their mind, or
they are going to lose. So far they haven't shown the signs of being a winning
team. Not being eliminated this round was pure luck on their part. At the
moment, I think David and Jeff will win, although I won't be surprised if it's
Kelly and Jon. If Kelly and Jon get the sentimental editing in the last episode
(Flo did), then we will know they are going to win.

I'd rather have the boring Goats win than the obnoxious Jon and Kelly or the
irritating ReiChip. Better a team I don't care about one way or the other than one
I dislike.
It occurred to me a little while ago that I'm far more unhappy about the
elimination of Jon and Al than I was by the win of Flo and Zach last Amazing Race.
The only other team in all the races that I thought was as good overall as Al and
Jon was Jill and Jon Vito in TAR3.

Me too. I'm going to root for them to fall off a cliff.
They are truly ugly people--phony, pretentious and nasty. And, like
most people of that bent, they haven't got a clue. When Flo won last
time, I remember she was shocked (shocked, I tell you) that people
disliked her so much. People like this are so wrapped up in themselves,
they don't have the slightest idea that are not very likeable.

I actually thought it was really amusing when she started freaking out
and hyperventilating in mid-air. She's always bragging how tough she
is. Though she wouldn't shut up about her hand--it was important for
her to let everyone know she was operating with a handicap. Gee--what a
gal!

At least she admitted she behaved shamefully. Jon and Kelly will laugh off all
their behavior, blame the editing, or claim they were saying what everyone else
was thinking. They are the types of people who claim they "speak their minds",
which means they say whatever they want and don't care about how it will hurt
someone else's (or each other's) feelings.
No matter what happens next week, I'm just glad that they are going to fade
right back into the obscurity they should have never been plucked out of in the
first place. Good riddance to bad trash. They can eat up all that money in
divorce lawyers in a few years.
I'd be wondering why they're gonna "keep an eye on" Chip...they both seem to be
in love with him or something...Reichen can kick their ass though...

That's how I view Jun on BB4. I'm sure that she sees nothing wrong with the
way she acts or what she says.

This is why I _wanted_ Kelly to do the Roadblock. My first thought was, "Ooh,
the sharks will just _love_ the scent of blood..."
I guess that makes me evil, huh?
Karen E.
If that makes you evil, then what does that make me, when I kept hoping that
her rappelling (sp?) rope would break and that she would land right on top
of Jon?

That would make you me at about 8:35 eastern time last night.
I was also hoping that she might get stuck there (in that spot where
she started freaking out) and the production team would be forced to
leave due to time constraints. That wouldn't be fair to the good
people of Australia, though.

I have a horrible, horrible feeling that these two idiots will win. I
guess it's from the feedback/reaction comment they had -- they looked
relaxed, clean, happy and confident. Argggghhhhh. Flo and Zach had a
similar shot.

They are the strongest racers of the three teams left, so they stand a great
chance of winning. I'll be very surprised if Chip and Reichen win. I still
think David and Jeff are going to win, but if not them, then it will probably
be Kelly and Jon. If they win, after Flo won last season, then as much as I
like Phil and some of the parts of AR, I won't miss the show quite as much.
Seeing the most repulsive of personalities getting monetary rewards

That's next Thursday. This Thursday is the final 3 with one last
non-elimination round. To be honest, I'm thinking about skipping this week's
episode and only watching next week's finale.

There are no more eliminations at this point. It's a three-way race to
the finish line, but yeah, I would not be surprised if the Lost Boys
blunder their way off-course and do a disappearing act altogether. Well,
I can hope.
You're right, it's first/second/third place. Chip and Reichen have made as many
errors as David and Jeff have, so I wouldn't be surprised if they both wind up
getting lost. They may wind up bumbling their way into second and third place.
Maybe Kelly and Jon will get Toonces the Driving Cat as a cabbie. I'd love to
see that.
There have only been 2 so far.

Right, and this week's ep (the second to last leg) is the third
non-elimination. So there will still be 3 teams in the finale.

If they lose the race because of his foot, which is very likely, then I
wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason they broke up. You know what they
say about the race making you see a different side of someone.
