You need to definitely check this, but I think Beethoven.

I guess it would be a stretch to call him an "artist" but he is famous. I'm
pretty sure Richard Ramirez (the Night Stalker) is epileptic.

Check out this site from the Wellness Network:
http://www.aarogya.com/specialities/neurology/epilepsy/famous.asp

Also the Epilepsymuseum:
http://www.epilepsiemuseum.de/alt/body_prominenteen.html

The only current celebrity listed is the late Margaux Hemingway.

Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac was diagnosed with a mild form of
epilepsy after blacking out in a shower during a tour circa 1977, IIRC.

riverval...@sk.sympatico.ca says...

The medical claim is that Saul of Tarsus
experienced his conversion during an epileptic
fit on the road to Damascus, when he fell
under his horse, saw Jesus, and changed his
name to Paul.

I'd file this under Possible.

Did the original list contain ST. Hildegaard?

After seeing that show on the Brain on PBS, it
wouldn't surprise me of most of the mystics
were epileptics.

Please don't forget Paula Abdul. She has said publicly she takes
Depakote for it, and that it has caused her to have problems with her
hair. (It falls out in clumps and she has to sometimes wear a wig)

I also believe there was a report that the Onassis girl (granddaughter
to Ari) has it, but is seeking natural healing via some kind of French
thing.
