Couric gets second Palin interview

Second in the broadcast network competition to talk to Sarah Palin:
Katie Couric.

The CBS anchor will spend two days on the road with the Republican
vice presidential candidate as well as presidential hopeful John
McCain, the network said Tuesday.

Couric's interview material will be aired Sept. 29 and 30 on the "CBS
Evening News" and "The Early Show."

It's timed for just before the Oct. 2 vice presidential debate between
Palin and Democrat Joe Biden.

ABC's Charles Gibson had the first in-depth network interview with
Palin last week. She's also talking to Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity
this week.

There's no word on whether Couric's interview material will appear on
"60 Minutes," which competed hard to get the first Palin interview.

Awarding Couric the interview also appears to be a clear message from
the McCain campaign to NBC News. Republicans have been unhappy with
NBC, primarily because of the active support for Barack Obama voiced
by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann.

So while Gibson and Couric have interviews with Palin, NBC's Brian
Williams — who anchors the top-rated evening news program — has been
snubbed so far.

Why doesn't she just go on Larry King while she's at it!

Katie only throws softballs to liberal women......like Hillary Clinton
and John Edwards.
Don't ya think it's time for Katie to go back to celebrity gossip and
fashion make overs? Watching her pretend to be a news anchor is
painful.

--- Why settle for amateurs? Put her on with Howard Stern or even
Bill Maher. They'd rip her to shreds. Hell, I think even a 90-year-
old Walter Cronkite could still deliver the goods better than anyone
on the networks these days. Too bad George Carlin is no longer
around, he would've had some great material on her.

I would LOVE to see her go on Bill Maher. I can just picture that
obnoxious ball of hate and hubris doing his best to offend her. I'm
sure she could handle his haranguing with poise that would win her
even more fans.

My favorite katie "cunt get a viewer" couric question is... "how did
you feel when you watched your kid get ran over by the CBS new truck"?
or "How did you feel when you fell 18 floors"?

She's a blithering idiot... no wonder no one watches her. I stopped
watching the Today show because of her stupid fucking mindless
questions.... she must give good head.

Palin wouldn't go on Howard Stern or Bill Maher because she wouldn't
want to lower herself to even consider being on their shows. They are
both complete idiots who should have their mouths stapled shut.
HOWARD STERN?! I mean you have to be kidding right? If I ever saw
Palin on Howard Stern I would lose all the faith I have in her in one
second. But I guess I don't have to worry about that now do I?

I was just outside and I could see the moon and stars from my yard.
Does that make me qualified to be the head of NASA?
If people are too stupid or hardheaded to see through the McCain
campaign's tactics, then they deserve him and Palin.
I minimalized my desires and needs many years ago and if worse comes
to worse, will simply watch it all go down without getting my hands
dirty.
I can't change the world. I can only change myself.

If you look at a map, you can't see Russia from ANY of the major
cities in Alaska, nor can you from the front porch of her home in

Of course you can't. And if you could, you'd see tundra.
The McCain campaign knows that the bulk of their supporters are quite
ignorant and reactionary.

why should that surprise you when the press won't ask any questions
about obamaramadingdong's drug use, his 1981 trip to pakistan, his
colb posted on his web site and kos being fake, his rezko dealing, all
the kickbacks received from slum lords.... and katie "cun't get a
viewer" couric will ask some stupid question like 'have you ever
farted in public'?

And what is obamaramadingdong's foreign credentials? what the fuck has
he done? a couple of trips to africa to visit family, growing up a
muslim in Jakarta, a 3 week college trip to pakistan in 1981, a world
wind, taxpayer paid, trip this summer.

Where's his fucking experience?

Growing up a Muslim in Jakarta? Is this how low you've gone? Anyone can
check his background and see that he didn't "grow up" there, he "grew
up" in Hawaii. He spent a couple years in Indonesia with his CHRISTIAN
mother and attended a public school.

But don't let the facts get in the way. You're continuing the Republican
SOP of promoting fear with lies.

Worked with Kerry.

Sorry, it won't work with Obama.

Since Katie is determined to be thought as a hard-hitting news
journalist, she might actually ask some tough questions and not back
down. Of course, if she does do so, the McPalin campaign will say
that Katie is sexist.

You need to check your facts. obamarama lived in Jakarta until the age
of 10. He went by the name of barry soetoro, he was registered as a
muslim and an indonesian citizen. If you have read anything about
indonesia, then you know ALL public schools there have an on site
mosque, and that on Fridays it is MANDATORY that all muslims got to
the mosque and attend muslim training classes.... Barry would've had 4
years of that shoved down his throat. But of course obamarama first
says that "I've always been a Christian", then it was "I was never a
practicing muslim".

Then we have the 1981 trip to Pakistan to visit 3 college friends, all
muslims, where obamarama used his indonesian passport and spent 3
weeks. Remember that in 1981 pakistan was a muslim hotbed and it was
on the no-fly list for Americans. That you had to have specific State
department approval to go there.

Tsk-tsk-tsk. You should NEVER confuse a uberlib with facts. It's like
a chicken watching a card trick. THe chicken knows somethings
happening but can't quite figure it out. Uberlibs=chickens.
