--IT looks like Mary-Louise Parker has split from her "Weeds" co-star
Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Page Six spotted Parker and Morgan last December
looking very much together at Soho House, but they were seen arguing
last week at Nobu Next Door. "She was trying to hold his hand and get
his attention," said our source. "But he was ogling a cute, petite
blonde through the whole meal." Parker seems to have already moved on.
We spotted her locking lips Wednesday night with a dark-haired man at
Lower East Side eatery Good World.
--THE U.S. Postal Service has a weird idea of what "sex" is. Chez
Josephine owner Jean-Claude Baker designed postcards featuring a 1926
drawing of his famous mom, Josephine Baker, dancing topless, to
promote his Theater Row eatery's 21 years in the business. But the
post office refused to mail the cards, citing regulations against
handling "sexually oriented" ads. Baker told us: "Of course, it's
ridiculous. It is 2007, and this drawing was on the cover of a
magazine back in 1926." He's now putting a piece of tape with the word
"censored" over his mother's breasts.

--PROSECUTOR on the Charles Man son murder trial, Vincent Bugliosi, a
name from headlines past, was DA in L.A. eight years. He also wrote
award-winning crime books like "Helter Skelter," "Till Death Do Us
Part" and "Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away With
Murder." He's at it again. Not prosecuting. Writing. Bugliosi's just
written a 1,600-page, 1,500,000-word book. The thing's larger than
most coffee tables. Start it in junior high, you'll finish as a senior
citizen. The title: "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of
President John F. Kennedy." So, why? He's setting the record straight
forever and always. The man takes apart every single theory ever
perpetrated. He follows the Oswald line, Ruby line, conspiracy line,
every line ever even sniffed at. Following each to its nth degree with
every twist around every corner behind every tree down every alley
inside every crevice, he's five years late delivering the manuscript.
This book's like a train hurtling through a tunnel because his
ultimate conclusion? The final revelation? There ain't no revelation.
It was what it was. It wasn't more than it was. A nut killed the
president of the United States, and that's it, period. Bugliosi
originally wanted this in separate volumes but that was - pardon the
expression - shot down because readers usually buy only one. While no
human alive will stick through to the end, it'll sell to every
library, archive, historical society, etc. Publisher Random House,
price $50, pub. date May 19.
--This week Julie An drews got two Lifetime Achievement Awards - from
SAG and Child magazine. With the statuettes in her L.A. home office,
we talked of her career as a children's book writer. "I have seven
grandchildren, so I try out my new tales on them. I think this ability
came from 'Mary Poppins,' 'The Sound of Music,' all those children's
musicals I did. Young adults need more of this today. Interactive
video games do not engage them personally." As for "Mary Poppins," the
answer pops out as smooth as creamy peanut butter: "I saw the London
production, not yet the one here. It's darker but no less valid."
About the book on her own life, which is 10 years in coming: "No title
for it yet. My deadline is April 1, and it's already been delayed.
Always difficult with an autobiography to decide what to put in, what
to leave out. I've decided to tell the early days. I'll give a slice
of history. Of English vaudeville life." So nothing about the loss of
her voice? "No. I couldn't do all that. It would be too long."
--VP Cheney's former aide Scooter Libby would have fallen on his baton
and taken the rap for this CIA agent Valerie Plame outing were he
facing only a few months. He'd lose the usual few pounds in jail, do

hearing the sentence could be years in prison, he decided uh-uh.
--THE "Lips & Ears" show on Fox & Friends is going great guns at the
Roger Ailes network. I was there taping this week, and whom did I run
into? One of my favorite shrinks, Dr. Melfi of "The Sopranos," better
known as the fab actress Lorraine Bracco. Lorraine says her work on
this classic drama is almost finished up, even though we don't see the
final season until it begins again April 8. "Oh, it's so sad to be
winding down. We have become such a family. But I am working on my
Bracco Wine, and I'm developing something for Lifetime, and I'm
reading scripts." Lorraine was out plugging the Campbell's Soup push
for the American Heart Association. She even had the talented Michael
Vollbracht's red dress for the Bill Blass label with her. Lorraine is
encouraging all women to wear red for February and fight the disease.
Monday through Feb. 15 many items will be auctioned off on
GoRedWithCampbells.com. Lorraine's parents are battling heart disease,
and she is out doing her bit.

--LOVERS OF luscious Latinas were in seventh heaven the other eve at
Il Sole eatery in Hollywood. There they were - the triumphant Penelope
Cruz and her mentor, "Ugly Betty" producer Salma Hayek. The actresses
were minding their waistlines. Both had the Dover sole. (And while we
keep referring to the bodacious Ms. Hayek in connection with a TV hit,
let's not forget that a few years ago she was Oscar-nominated herself
for the movie "Frida.") Because the rumors of their being lovers has
been bruited from coast to coast, I should tell you both Penelope and
Salma find this deliciously funny. They aren't going to let it damage
their friendship. Hey, you can now get the new DVD of "Bandidas," a
film co-written by Luc Besson. Hardly ever released in theaters, it
stars Cruz and Hayek as gun-toting bandits of 100 years ago. A cross
between "Viva Maria!" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," it's a
dream come true for millions of men who have mixed feelings about the
words "Hands Up!"

--John Lennon fans are calling for a boycott of a movie about his
killer, Mark David Chapman, even as producers left Sundance without a
distributor. Two thousand people so far have signed an online petition
pledging not to see Jarrett (J.P.) Schaefer's "Chapter 27," which
stars Lindsay Lohan and a 60-pounds-heavier Jared Leto because "it
fulfills Chapman's own prophecy of becoming famous through murdering
Lennon" in 1980. Lohan has said she has gotten death threats, and
Lennon's son Sean told TV's "The Insider": "Lindsay was my friend. I
don't want to hurt her feelings by talking about it in public, but I
think it's a bit of a tacky idea." The film got raves from critics
like Andrew O'Hehir, who said on Salon.com: "Leto veers from paranoid
arrogance to painful flashes of reality," while "Schaefer ... creates
[his] own highly compelling world, which is pretty much the prime
directive in filmmaking." "I think it's nonsense," executive producer
John Flock told us of the boycott. "The people who are calling for a
boycott more likely than not haven't seen it. It's not a sympathetic
portrayal. He comes off as a monster in the end. "And I think it was
the single best individual performance at Sundance. I think he's going
to be nominated for an Academy Award." Flock added that "distributors
are circling." Lohan, meanwhile, has decided to drop out of "A Woman
of No Importance," the Oscar Wilde story she was to star in with
Annette Bening. Lohan's spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnick said the 20-
year-old "decided not to push herself," and is already working on "I
Know Who Killed Me" on an outpatient basis from the Wonderland rehab
center.
--Mariah Carey looks so steamy in the March issue of Playboy, she
might even be hotter than Eminem's head. "Something is clearly askew

The pair clashed last year when Carey - who doesn't take it all off
for Playboy but still shows a Mimi-licious amount of skin - denied
she'd ever had a relationship with the "Slim Shady" rapper. He
retaliated, calling her a liar on the air and in some mighty foul
lyrics on his December 2006 release, "The Re-Up." "I just heard
something else he recently said about me," Carey says. "I'm curious as
to why he's so obsessed with me. I never got an apology letter, by the
way. ... Then, again, I wasn't exactly searching my mailbox for it."

"Entertainment Tonight" executive producer got fuming mad at Ian
Benardo - the New Yorker who infamously asked to see Simon Cowell's
working papers during his audition - after he nixed an offer to appear
on Blue's show and instead opted for competitor "Extra." He was at
"Extra" when he put Blue on speakerphone as she allegedly yelled, "I'm
'ET'! Don't you know how powerful I am?" Benardo tells us. An "ET" rep
said Benardo was fabricating, but several earwitnesses confirmed the
conversation, which Benardo ended with, " 'ET,' phone home."

--It wasn't easy prepping John Travolta for reshoots for his movie
Wild Hogs. The movie is about four suburban guys who hit the road on
bikes looking for adventure and it stars Travolta, Martin Lawrence,
William H Macy and Tim Allen. Hogs wrapped last summer and since then,
John filmed Hairspray, starring in drag as Edna Turnblad. He happily
packed on a few pounds for the hefty Edna character, so when he was
called in for Hog reshoots recently, he didn't look the same. Wardrobe
had to scramble to alter stuff and find clothes that fit and disguised
his size. Travolta's hair was a totally different color so it had to
be re-dyed to match his Hogs hairpiece. Did you know he wears a full
toupee that goes from temple to temple? When he's wearing a baseball
cap it means he doesn't have his hairpiece on. The whole hair process
was done in total privacy behind closed doors - presumably so nosey
people like us won't take a photo.

series of murders in which Robin is the suspect. Ethan Reiff, who co-

he's up against Robin Hood, who's becoming heroic while not
necessarily acting in the nicest way." Filming on the movie, called
Nottingham, is expected to start at the end of the year. The project
sees Crowe reunited with producer Brian Grazer, who he worked with on
Cinder-ella Man and the Oscar-winning A Beautiful Mind. Hollywood's
last telling of the story was Kevin Costner's Robin Hood: Prince of
Thieves in 1991. A second series of the BBC1 version starring Jonas

--Mandy Moore has been seen getting cozy with Nicole Richie's ex-
fiance Adam Goldstein, a.k.a. DJ AM, in recent pictures, but her
possible new love interest was nowhere to be seen - at least by the
cameras - at the premiere of Moore's new movie with Diane Keaton,
"Because I Said So." Before being rushed into the movie theater to get
to her seat in time, Moore was inundated with questions about her
rumored relationship. The pop star said with a smile, "DJ AM? What?"
She did admit, "I have no Valentine's Day plans," when asked about the
upcoming romantic holiday. For now she said her focus is on her work.
"I just got to make the record I wanted to make, and it's coming out
in May. It's called 'Wild Hope,'" she told us of her recent endeavors.
Meanwhile, Moore's co-stars in the flick that opens today also hit the
red carpet - including Lauren Graham, a disoriented-looking Piper
Perabo, Stephen Collins, Gabriel Macht, and Keaton, who looked
fantastically casual in jeans and a white button-up blouse. According
to director Michael Lehmann, Keaton really went for it when playing an
overbearing mother who refuses to stop meddling in her daughter's
life. "7th Heaven's" Collins, who plays Keaton's love interest, points
out that unlike her character, Keaton herself is "incredible with
kids. I don't get what anybody would call a classic maternal vibe from
Diane. I have a feeling she's a really good mother in real life, but
she has such a unique personality. She's Diane Keaton, you know?"
--Engelbert Humperdinck sets out on a North American tour Feb. 13 that
will keep him doing concert dates in the United States and Canada into
May - continuing this year's 40th anniversary celebration of his
breakthrough hit, "Release Me." "It's a strange date to be beginning a
tour, but I've never thought of 13 as unlucky for me," says the
British singer, whose career includes four Grammys and more than 130
million albums sold, not to mention the popular "Beavis and Butt-Head
Do America" movie soundtrack tune "Lesbian Seagull." First, he'll be
seen on the Hallmark Channel this Super Bowl Sunday - hosting a half-
hour show timed to half-time of the big game. "Whole Lotta Love - Full
Contact Edition" is a retrospective of Hallmark's commercial spots
through the decades, obviously for those looking for something, well -
sniff, sniff - a little more sentimental between the Bears and Colts
attacking each other. "They're heart-rending spots. Three or four of
them - like the one with a girl teaching her father to read - brought
tears to my eyes, I'm not kidding you," says Humperdinck. "I'm a
softie, you know." In a couple of months, he'll be releasing an as-yet-
untitled album for the U.S. market - a celebration of Brit songwriters
from Sting and Eric Clapton to James Blunt. He also has a double album
about to drop in the U.K. with five new songs on it, including one
called "Totally Amazing" that he wrote with his daughter Louise and
her fiance. Humperdink's son, Brad, suggested the British collection.
Both Louise and Brad "are instrumental in giving me ideas, putting
things together for me." They also used to appear with their dad
onstage, but "I told them, 'You've got to start doing your own thing,
get on with your own lives and be independent of me as performers.'
It's a difficult deal when your father or mother is an international

--"CD USA" co-host John Wynn has been going to the mat - literally.
"I'm going to play a senior wrestler in high school who's coming to
terms with the fact he's been adopted in a film called 'Beyond the
Mat' in March," explains the Asian-American hottie. "It's a real
physical film so I've been doing my training hanging out at Santa
Monica High School on weekends." When he first arrived in the gym, the
25-year-old Wynn says, "This, like, 16-year-old kid walked in, picked
me up and, before you know it, had his elbow in my chest. He was like
'Go back where you came from, actor boy!'" He had to convince others
to wrestle with him seriously. "One guy was like, 'I don't really want
to hurt you right now. My sisters might get mad at me if you go on set
with a black eye.'" However, Wynn says it didn't take him long to get
up to speed. "I wrestled in high school, and I'm in good shape, but
it's the quickness you lose over time, and these kids are so fast. I'm
building up on the speed. I feel like it's my responsibility to make
the role look authentic. When someone's watching the wrestling in the
film, I don't want them to think 'Oh, they faked that.'" Still, he
admits, "I've definitely been sore ... Mondays are usually a very
painful day for me."

difference is the way they dress."

--LOS ANGELES - Academy Award-winning director Clint Eastwood will
receive the Motion Picture Association of America's inaugural
humanitarian award, the association announced Thursday. Eastwood, 76,
will be presented the Jack Valenti Humanitarian Award at a private
dinner Tuesday in Washington, D.C. "For decades, (Eastwood) has
exemplified the decency and goodness of spirit in his moviemaking,"
said MPAA Chairman Dan Glickman, lauding the filmmaker for his recent
pair of World War II-themed works, "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters
from Iwo Jima." "These films exemplify the true power of movies to
tell human stories and inspire national conversation," Glickman said.
Eastwood is nominated for an Academy Award for directing "Letters from
Iwo Jima." The film is also up for best picture. The humanitarian
award was named after the MPAA's longtime chief, Valenti, who helped
choose Eastwood as its inaugural recipient.
