On Friday..Bad news for governments is usually announced on Fridays.I
have posted the brutal cuts to scientists and projects in Canada for
weeks. Suddenly $5 million seems to have been restored to keep the
northern project to study global warming alive. The story seems to be a
government secret.I have no idea why.

"Laboratory in Eureka, Nunavut, studies ozone depletion and the
effects of climate change. A $5-million government grant will allow it
to remain in operation."

This seems to be true. I will send the PM of Canada an email to thank
him.

EXCELLENT news! Unfortunately five million Canadian dollars is a tint
fraction of what governments give the fossil fuel industry every
single week. In the USA a few oil corporations paid -negative- taxes
during record-high profit years.

That is true. This International research project was shut down to
save money, according to the government.Suddenly the International
Community, especially those in the US, who oppose the pipeline,
reminded Harper, that he was a hypocrite over global warming. He does
not want it to be an issue over his flip flop in Canada, while at the
same time he can go back to the International community and claim the
government is supporting the international research project.
