Wants to charge an entrance fee for tourists visiting Gibraltar
rather like the stick men used to.

He is rather short of funds. By coincidence the two previous
mayors were not available for comment.

I say close the border and be done with it. Then build a bridge from
Gib to Morroco. The food market is far cheaper than the indoor market in
La Linea.

A tunnel would be better.
Then you could invite Mr Mayor and as many other Franco-phile onion
crunchers as possible, to make the first jjourney through and fill-in
both ends when they're half way.
A perfect use for toytown politicians such as this mayor... Or indeed
any other politicians.

Nick.

Blair has a lot to answer for... He should never have implied to the
damned Spaniards, that there might one day be a chance of returning
the Rock to them.

Though even that wasn't the real cause. which dates back to 1993 when
the La Linea local politicians were finally educated in the use of
washing and indoor toilets. It's just a shame they never quite
grasped that you don't do both in the same receptacle.

HTH

Nick.
