Taxi from airport to Rock
Hi, I'm looking forward to visiting in a couple of weeks. I had to book the flight and hotels separately because for some reason there was no availability as a package deal. This means I have to make my own way from the air port to the hotel. How much is a taxi likely to cost and what are the rules about tipping over there; what would they expect me... more »

Insect repellent?
Hello, I don't know if this is a daft question but here goes: in some holiday destinations it is necessary to spray yourself, your room, etc. at night with insect repellent to prevent flying things from biting you. Is this necessary in Gib or can I make my suitcase lighter by eaving it out? Thanks.

Different developments even further northwards
I read in Gibfocus today (21st April - NOT 1st April!) that Monarch is to restart its Gib schedule as from September this year. They withdrew from the route in a fit of pique in June 2006, when they started flights to Jerez in exactly the same slots that they had previously used for Gib. The restart is... more »
