BOSLEY WILLIAM W 48 M W WV
1900 > WEST VIRGINIA > MINERAL > NEW CREEK DIST
Series: T623 Roll: 1766 Page: 87

The last entry in his household seems to be his father; can
anyone read Dad's name?? I'd like it to be a certain word
so I don't want to trust myself. (g)

Thanks.

I also read that as John. Also, the West Virginia Vital Records has a
John Boseley, aged 76, 3 months, 28 days, dying on 22 July 1901 in the
New Creek District of Mineral County. Spouse/information name was given
as W. W. Boseley, mother as Harriet Boseley and father as Wm. Boseley.

Hope that helps,
Cathy

I noticed that! The wife seems to be the key player in keeping those
families separate - that is, if you're lucky enough to have a William
who managed to keep the same wife throughout his life <grin>.

Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but if I remember correctly,
this particular William left Mineral County and went to Barbour County.

I found (after the OQ) an on-line database that, if true,
explains a lot. (g) Seems the wife I had for a man was the
2nd (which I had supposed). What I hadn't known was -- he
had a dozen kids with his first wife! IF I assume it's
true, then almost all my stand-alones come into line. As a
working hypothesis, it's good for me, until I get around to
checking out whether he left a will...the living family
doubt he had a tuppence to bless himself with, so we hadn't
looked. Then again, 18 kids would do that to a man, I guess?
