I just got some information on ancestors in England. (posted below) I'm wondering how to get information about births, marriages, and deaths in England. Also, does anyone know of any good British web sites to do with genealogy?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jill

Thanks Heather for sending this query to me, here is something that
may help.
FREDRICK.W.BOND was born ca.1851 at Great Milton, Oxford,
he was a carpenter by trade.
His wife was called MARY, and she was born ca.1854 at Long Crendon,
Buckingham.
Both Daisy B.Bond and Francis W.Bond were born at Great Milton, Oxford.
I trust this information will suffice.

Heather
My email address is jill...@cogeco.ca It just changed about a week ago
because of the financial difficulties excite@home has had. I apologize for
the confusion - I didn't realize that I had to change settings in the news
groups area as well.
I really appreciate the help you are providing!

I am only aware of an Olive Viola BOND at this point. She was born about
1914 in York and died as a baby. It's a shame that the middle initial
doesn't match. Since there is no year though, it could possibly be a
descendant of George or Muriel. Did it list a cemetery? My Aunt thinks
that a lot of our relatives were buried in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. I
lived a few blocks from there as a teenager and so know that it's an awfully
big cemetery to go wondering around. I was thinking of mailing their office
a letter asking for locations of Bond graves before making a trip to
Toronto.
Thank you again for your help,
Jill
