Wing IV blew the doors off of what a game could be, and left all the
others in the dust. It was also one of the most tested and glitch-free
games available, at least for me. You can always depend on Origin to
deliver a solid product. Can't wait to grab a copy of Wing V when it
comes out.
How do other folks on this newsgroup rate this game?
Dittoes.

Not to be rude or anything, but if this is the most glitch-free, then
you must play rather buggy games. Personally, I haven't had much in
the way of technical problems (i.e. bugs), but I know of a few locally
who have had nothing but grief from it (Granted, they also were using
no-name 5th party systems that probably came from garbage dumps). If
bugs are a major concern (I think they should be, myself... ;) ), then
don't get Privateer 2: The Darkening. Yeah, I know EA did the
production, but it's sold under the Origin label (I think... I haven't
seen it around here. As always I welcome corrections).

Excelent. 'nuff said.

It is an "Origin game" but it was done by Origin-UK, not the people
that do the rest of Origin's stuff.

What is Origin-UK? I don't recall any other games from it but
Priv2:The Bubble Shields.

I haven't heard of anything else coming from there (Origin,
Manchester, England Division), but if there were other less popular
Origin games, they might have come from there. :) Hopefully we'll have
the real WC crew working on WC games from now on.

I was under the impression that it was Electronic Arts UK rather than a
specific Origin UK department that did privateer 2. Am I wrong? Is there
a practical difference between origin and elctronic arts?

I was just thinking... I prefer to play Wing Commander IV for
the 11th time than putting the Priv2 on the drive again... I never
touched it since I finished. It was bad, but reasonable until the
trama resumed to "mommy liked you most".

Ya!!! For me, I never tired of watching the introduction :)
I would say yes. I thought of Origin-UK as a branch of Origin and
Electronic Arts as the computer company that owns Origin.

Who made Darklight Conflict? Screenshots look similar to P2, maybe
Origin-UK?
