Did Prayer of Healing in a Raid Get Bugged Recently?

before my most recent run in Kara that when I cast Prayer of Healing
on the Group that I was not in, that it healed all five of those
people. I swear. I swear. I funking swear.
And this most recent visit to Kara I did it and I could swear it was
not healing all 5 people in that other group. It worked fine for the
group that I was in. So I just said "okay be that way" and lived with
it and treid harder to help the others to live.
Can I get a 10-4 on that from anybody.
I hope the hell I was not hallicinating.
I guess now I'm gonna get a post from some irate non-pirate saying
"only noobz use PoH in raids".

Are you confusing Prayer of Healing with Circle of Healing?

Nope, you've never been able to do that. Are you sure you're not thinking
of Circle of Healing? That is the only priest AOE heal spell that can be
cast on a group you are not in.

It does only heal the people in your own group - just have to get used to
it ;-)

Okay then I know the answer.
On the other times the other healy priest was in the other group. So I
can only conclude that he recognized the need for the Prayer of
Healing just like I did and cast it at about the same time. When the
life bars went up it was not my Prayer of Healing it was his that
brought them up.
This weekend we were both in the same group.

PoH is an AoE like Holy Nova. It's always centred on you, regardless of
who you target, and only heals people in your group. It's great in 5-person
dungeons, but next to useless in BGs or raids... unless your raid has a
grouping discipline I've never witnessed before, or are just forced to crowd
together.

Then even if you both PoH'd, you'd only heal each other and the three others
in your group. Are you sure the other priest didn't have Circle of Healing?

1. He does not have Circle of Healing
2. This week the Preayer of Healing did not work for me when I healed
the other group since it is not suppsoed to. Plus since the other
priest was in my group he did not kick it off as well, perhaps he knew
better jsut as I now know. If he was in the other group he probably
might have been casting it at times that I was and I would have
thought it was mine just like I did the previous weeks.
