Been working on my Archaeology achievements a bit this week, heading
towards the 20 of each common Mogu/Pandaren item and 5 of each Mantid,
and diligently turning all my boxed items into Tol'vir fragment boxes,
in a vain hope of maybe getting something rare (yeah right). Well,
tonight, I finally did - "Scepter of Azj'Aqir?", I thought, "surely
that's not the mount... nah, it must be a staff or something". Well, a
check on Wowhead told me it WAS the mount, and so it was time to farm
up the 150 fragments I needed!

I have wanted that mount for so long, absolutely over the moon to get
it at last; sure, it's maybe not the fanciest looking these days but
I'm betting it's rather uncommon even after 2-3 years of being
available, especially as it's still the only qiraji mount usable
outside AQ other than the server-first Scarab Lord mount which is
obviously ridiculously rare. This was my 101st Tol'vir item completed
lol, and I still don't have the pet, so a whole load more are needed
it seems, here's hoping it doesn't take another 101 solves to drop :-P

I envy you!

Several guildies have offered me to make it if I provided mats, but I
still like you hunt it to make myself.

Cheers!

Ahh, that's the Vial of the Sands recipe - I still don't have that!
Like you, I would rather make it myself than buy it or have someone
else make it for me; it's unfortuante that my main is not my
alchemist, which really does not help! The mount I have got is the
bright blue scarab mount, shame it's only a ground mount but it's fun
to use on Isle of Thunder at least, love the looks of it.
