Swinging at nothing in the BGs

I recently started running the Battle Grounds with my lvl 75 rogue and
noticed something I haven't been able to figure out.

Occasionally she will take a swing at something but there is nothing
there, and not even in combat. She's Assassination spec if that matters,
but it doesn't seem to be a talent tree thing. This only happens in a BG.
