I just saw some Perfect Fractured sunstones when I was browsing for the
fractured sunstones earlier tonight. As the noob JCer I am I want to
know how those can be made? ^^

Nevermind. After spending approx an hour on searching on this topic I
finally found this info:

<http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/11/02/the-economics-of-perfect-gem-cuts/>

And of course I found this page less than a minute after I posted my
question... Anyhoo! I have loads of green quality gems in stock so its
time to do some cutting tomorrow. :)

Bear in mind that nowadays, you can turn green quality gems into
metagems - http://www.wowhead.com/spell=140060 - and it may be more
worthwhile saving them for that - the perfect gem cuts tend to be
overlooked by people looking for blue gems (even though they're the
same stats) and so sell for less than blues in my experience while
metas are still really high, on my server anyway. It's handy if you've
got some greens you want rid of, yes, but since the meta gem recipe
was added I've stopped cutting greens unless I have a really excessive
number of one colour compared with the others.

Yes. I was in lack of time for a guild raid last night and didnt have
the time to log my JCer so i had to buy the missing 5 gems for my lock's
brandnew gear. And this is where I found thos perfect ones. Those were
and still are 25-50% cheaper than the non-perfect ones. But I dont care
as the "normal" gems still sells quite well. I just sold a fractured
sun's radiance (320 mastery) for around 350g an hour ago despite there
is a handful of perfect fractured sunstones on AH at less than 200g
buyout. But its just a question of time... :)

Indeed. The best selling metas (mainly those with 3% crit) goes for
7-800g on my realm. A very steady income as I make 1-2 of them for AH
each day. Thanks for the farm, Blizzard! ^^

Oh well gold gold gold...

Oh wow I like your server's prices! I'm celebrating if a gem even
reaches 100g lol, usually only orange colour does that, suns radiance
cuts are doing well to get above 60g! Would love to be able to sell
for 350g :-)

Oh wow again lol, 500g is the highest metas ever get, usually more
like 350g :-P I'm very jealous, must be easy gold!

;)

Some seller on my realm insists on selling them crit ones for 750g and
less despite I easily have sold a handful of especially the healer meta
(reverbasumthin) diamonds for 1500-2000g when the dude has been offline
for some days. I wont bother his price philosophy with him as I'm
satisfied with the 700-1500g daily income from those.
And a few weeks ago another dumbie went by the AH and started selling
shoulder enchants for 250g despite they sold quite well at 5-700g before
his arrival. I consider giving him a lesson soon as I have almost 700
unused starlights in stock and I guess a market reset wont work in this
case. I dont mind about competition. But lowering the prices to a
ridiculous level due to lack of knowledge is just <insert something ugly
here>... :/

Omfg, those prices are absolutely mental lol - you must be so rich :-P
Although I guess if gems are that high, maybe ore is also rather high
so perhaps a little less profitable; I've been annoyed that it's
roughly doubled in price the last couple of weeks to 12g per trillium
ore and 3g50 per ghost iron/kyparite ore, but maybe that's cheap
compared with some other servers? :-)

Urgh I know the feeling, some <insert rude word here> lowered the
entire glyph market to 25g each for months on end at the start of MoP,
I just gave up tbh, lots of them had been 200g+ before that, and the
majority were over 50g, so for every last one to be down at 25g was so
painful. Seems that idiot has finally moved on; a lot still are around
25g as people got used to the price being pitched at that lvl, but
some are 50g or so and ink of the sea ones are mainly above 100g now
so phew, at least I can make *some* profits again!
