...I immediately went to the trainer and assigned my new talent points
(please rate it, those with 1.10 priest experience):
Disc 21
Unbreakable Will - rank 5/5
Improved Power Word: Fortitude - rank 2/2
Improved Power Word: Shield - rank 3/3
Martyrdom - rank 1/2
Inner Focus - rank 1/1
Meditation - rank 3/3
Mental Agility - rank 5/5
Divine Spirit - rank 1/1
Holy 30
Healing Focus - rank 2/2
Improved Renew - rank 3/3
Holy Specialization - rank 3/5
Divine Fury - rank 5/5
Holy Nova - rank 1/1
Inspiration - rank 3/3
Improved Healing - rank 3/3
Spiritual Guidance - rank 5/5
Spiritual Healing - rank 5/5
My intention was to keep my mana costs as low as possible and my mana
regen as high as possible. Compared to my 1.9 build, I "lost" subtlety,
spirit of redemption, improved prayer of healing and 2% holy crits (10
talent points), and I "won" meditation, mental agility, inner focus,
Divine fury (the damage part), Spiritual Guidance, Divine Spirit and
Martyrdom (21 talent points), so I already see a HUGE buff in my
overall prowess.
I actually gave an unbuffed try to the priest epic quest and... was
successful this time, using only 1 mana potion, no oil of immolation,
no holy water, and zero dead peasant :D (a quest I had failed, what, 6
or 7 times with all buffs in 1.9?)
That little Benediction Staff, which by itself buys back the 2% crits I
had given up, it's sure a big staff. And it's shiny.
I tried to solo some mobs around, elites in Stromguarde and in the
Alterac Mountains.
Day
And
Light.
3 seconds spammable holy fire: Aye!
2 seconds smite: Aye Aye!
NEW GREATER HEAL GRAPHICS: AYE AYE AYE! <- best change ever and I'm
serious :)
150-180 dps without downtime nor +dmg gear? As holy? I'm fainting
already.
The new Shadowguard is extreme. Fear me now, I'm a true shaman :)
14 months after I left Razor Hilll without putting my first talent
point in spirit tap... I can... I can actually solo with Esa now.....
*snirffffl*
Ok now I heard there was money to make by doing quests at 60, what's
the exchange rate?
Not very good, ie for the child's day quests my non-lvl 60 got 650 xp
and the lvl 60 got 39s. 39s go easy to come by at lvl 60 it's not
worth the effort just for the money.
welcome back Babe, good to see you again :)

It depends, on average for lvl 60 quests I get between 4 and 6 golds per
quest, quite a nice income actually :)
Cheers

Ah! part of me was starting to get worried a lot.

I've been playing my priest off and on, when not playing the druid with
Bulkie (the druid's poised on the verge of 53, but we had to quit playing
last night before actually jumping that precipice); this morning, I spent a
little time before work getting the last 2 bubbles Chey needed and hit 56
with him. Next week, I'm on vacation, so while Bulkie's at work...Chey will
be going to 60. I've been wanting to try the new holy build (and I like the
one you outlined above), but have been shying away from it since the last
time I went holy. At that point, I kept the holy build for about 2 hours
before fleeing back to shadow. But now you've given me the incentive to go
ahead and respec him to disc/holy again and give it another shot. I'll miss
mind flay...hate the thought of letting runners run without a way to slow
them down...but I like the _idea_ of being holy. Think I might give it a
shot and see what happens. :) Thanks for the inspiration, Babe!

Congrats on that.

I just got my Priest to 40 a couple of days ago, respecced her to full
shadow to try out this Shadowform thing. It's fun, but I kind of liked
the healing role. Well, we'll see. Not sure if Holy/Disc soloing is as
feasible at 40 as it is at 60.

I heard 1g per 1600 exp, which sounds about right from my
observations.

One gold per 1600xp. Most of the quests you still see ! for will give you
at least 3 or 4 gold. *

* PV something like badgers--something like lizards--and something
like corkscrews.
I've been cleaning up some old quests on my 60's since 1.10, and de-
pending on the level and difficulty of the quest done, the reward can
range from 3-8 gold, usually 3-5g for most of them. Lowbie quests
will of course give you a mere pittance.

if you finish the quest, you get the choice between a rat, a pig, a
tortoise or 5g.
Nice to see you back in business :)

Hey, that says it. The only stats that are inportant are that it's big...
and shiny :)

Doc
Gotta be Mr. Wiggles (the pig) for Babe, then he'll have 2 characters with
pigs ;-P
--
Doc
You also get to choose between Mr. Wiggles and Speedy the Turtle. *
And... Mr. Whiskers? the rat.
--
Doc
Yeah, Whiskers the rat. That's finally the one I settled on - it's nice to
have a pet that actually has a name. My other pet is a black kingsnake,
which makes for some amusing games during idle time. *
