I've been trying to get A Change of Command on my low-pop server,
without success. The wowhead page for the quest suggest using
OpenRaid.org (OR), so I gave it a try. I'm pretty pleased.

You sign up for free, and register your toons and battletag. 'Events'
can be set up by anyone, where people are invited to sign up for an x-
realm raid or other activity. You can search for events you want.

Before the event, you have to set the event leader to be a 'battletag
friend', or have him send you a friend request. The first try, I
hadn't used the friend interface for a year or two, and I missed the
linkup <swearing>.

However, I did use it successfully to get into an 25N MV run, and in
two hours a bunch of complete strangers cleared the first 3 bosses. We
did wipe a few times, but no problem.

The site seems nice - there's chat, bbs, and OR groups and guilds.
Your toons are given feedback by other players in the same raid group,
so you have a reputation to maintain.

I think it's well worth the trouble, if you have trouble find raids.

Thanks for your info. I have heard about openraid before, but never
tried it and I havent heard other peeps' experience with it until now.
I will give it a try when the time is available. :)
