How much xp/levels can u get just from exploring "all" the different area's
and not killing any mobs, what would be the best way to see the world to
maximise the xp gain

I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't get over level 10 that way, the aggro
would be fierce in lots of places.

Not to mention that you cannot enter Outland until level 58, unless
someone teleports you there -- at which point you would dead as soon as
you left the city anyway.

There's now a limit to how far above/below the zone's level you can
be to even get XP for exploring. Running a level 3 undead past
the bulwark into WPL gets you nothing.

At level 12, you can still get XP for all the lowbie starting areas
except for the very start of each race. To get the very starting
areas you have to be something like level 7 or less.

You'll hit a plateau where you can't get XP for exploring areas
because they are all too high for you to get any XP, and you've
run out of all lower XP zones.

I know, I've leveled an undead priest up to level 13.5 who hasn't
killed anything, just exploring and doing delivery/gathering
sorts of quests. The last couple of levels I've had to do almost
entirely by exploring:

Hmm, my character who's in the mid 50's has gotten XP for
"discovering" low level areas, such as parts of Westfall.
I actually dinged a new level in the 40's once by discovering
a lower level area, which was very unexpected.

I don't know when they changed it, but it used to give you the
XP regardless of your level. I've done the lower toon/higher zone
test, I can try the higher toon/lower zone sometime.

There's no limit on high lvl characters getting exp I think; my lvl 70
hunter got 9 exp or something for discovering Exodar recently ;-)

Maybe they just want to do it for the fun of it
or the challenge. After all, even playing the
game could be considered a waste of time :-)

Hmm thinking about it I must be remembering wrong as you can't get exp at
70... must've been before he dinged 70 then, high 60s maybe ;-)

I'm still getting XP for very low-level locations' discoveries, at 62.

I think you may be mixing that up with the fact that there are
locations that show as "Discovered", but do not grant XP.
