We are compiling a dictionary of audiovisual industry terms (called
Hollywords) that covers film, television, and video games. On the
video (and computer) games side, we'd like to include both the
language of those who write games as well as those who play them. To
do that, we are looking for individuals interested in contributing to
the Hollywords dictionary project (fact checking or proofreading
existing entries, submitting new entries, acting as subject-matter
editors, etc.).

The goal of the Hollywords dictionary is to provide a single,
authoritative resource for industry professionals and enthusiasts who
encounter terms from outside their normal area of expertise. In this
case, we would be defining gaming terminology for those who aren't
avid players and who don't work for a game developer. Our humble goal
is to foster free, open, and accurate communication across the various
specializations that make up the audiovisual industry as a whole.
(More information about the Hollywords project can be found at
www.hollyword.org, or you can write us at in...@hollyword.org.)

If you're passionate gaming and want to share your expertise with
others, then we would love to hear from you. In addition to providing
a positive contribution to the audiovisual industry, contributors will
also be acknowledged in the print publication and will earn a share of
the publishing royalties.

Thank you for your time. We hope to hear from you soon.
