I bought Jericho today, played about 1 hours worth and hated every
minute of it. I had high hopes for a 'Clive Barker' game, The lighting
is some of the worst I've seen on newer generation game. The textures
are bland and they put in the usual red barrel, wood box here and there
The levels are linear and load way too often. The enemies look decent
but there's so much bad lighting that you don't get a chance to
appreciate how cool some of them look and even when your flashlight is
on ,its washed out in darkness, the contrast in the dark areas is
horrible some of the worst I've seen, but it really doesn't matter
because the textures are mediocre. The friendly AI looks good and I like
the fact you can possess any one of your squad-mates and they all have
different secondary magic powers . The voice acting is laughable , the
guy actually sounds like he's trying to be scary ,it just comes across
as bad acting . The high point of the game is the creepy casper looking
fellow who is the one guiding you where too go, but given that the
levels are linear..whats the point? Well off to Circuit City for a
refund...thanks to a careful opening of the plastic wrap. Honestly I
don't even care to rent this one.
