The fine people in Brazil will be enjoying the launch of a brand-new console
in their region: the PlayStation 2, with a mere price tag of $445, with
fourteen launch titles including Gran Turismo 4 and God of War II, reports
GameSpy.
PlayStation 2 will be sold in retail stores across Brazil for R $799 (USD
$445). New release and catalog games for the PlayStation 2 will be sold for
R $119 (USD $66) and R $99 (USD $55), respectively. Select accessories for
PlayStation 2, such as the DualShock 2 Analog Controller and Memory Card,
will also be available for purchase.
No, this isn't news from the year 2000 - this is now. While the Xbox 360
enjoyed its 4th birthday yesterday, Sony has made a deal with their
Brazilian office to launch the PS2 later this month.
Better late than never?
Better scam then never.

Well, you hit on the 'outrageous' (note spelling) price of the 360, but
didn't include your ad hominem as well for the PS3. I say this since you
started your rant with both consoles costing that much.
The fanboi in you forgot to acknowledge that $1300 is just as "FU&King
outragious (sic)" a price tag for the PlayStation 3 as it is for the
Xbox 360.
