Not only is it not the unit I sent in, but it's an HDMI unit, which mine
was not!

So I have another year of warranty against RRoD. Let's see if this one
can make it.

HAHA! Exactly.
As much as a pile of shit my life is right now, Infinity Ward gets to
know that they are giving me a little piece of happiness next week.

I guess if I was a fatass I could get my temporary happiness from Big
Macs, but I get mine from games.

Lucky you, i sent away my elite with unreadable disc error and they sent it
back unfixed but added 3 months to my warranty, so i guess they thought they
fixed it.

Anyway it was picked up by ups for the 2nd time in a fortnight yesterday,
glad ive got my old pro to fall back on.

You'll notice a decent improvement (especially in sound) using HDMI as well,
if your TV has that capability

It probably depends on the TV if you'll see any noticeable difference
video quality. On my 46" 720p DLP I didn't see any difference going
to HDMI.

My XBox is connected to a pre-HDMI 65" RPTV in 1080i.
But it's nice to know I have the option for HDMI when my TV dies (it's 9
years old).
