Who really cares though? Metal Gear has never really been a good game. From
its beginnings to now, it has been wildly overrated.
In Konami's defense, developing a PS3 and 360 version at the same time
takes a lot of effort.

If they want to sell the game in Japan, they have to develop it for the PS3.
If they want to sell the game in America, they have to develop it for the
360. Hopefully, Konami isn't stupid, especially to the company that allows
it to release its old and worthless games for purchase at 5$ a pop.
Huh? The PS3 didn't exactly sell like wildfire in Japan. I thought
Konami was doing a worldwide release, not Japan-only release. (laugh)
Really? Metal Gear on the NES was awesome. I l,oved Snakes revenge on the
SNES and the first Metal Gear Solid on PSX was great as well. Like most
games of any success MG has been sequelled to death.

The PS3, in comparison to the 360 at least, is selling like wildfire in
Japan. It might not be hotcakes, but it's definitely better than the 360.
The Wii doesn't deserve to be mentioned despite it selling well simply
because it is as next-gen as the Gamecube was.
Yeah well guess what, I also was one of the few who thought Blinx the Time
Sweeper was an excellent game but that doesn't make it one. Snake's
adventures might appeal to a certain people but it simply won't be fun for
everyone. The same way Metal Gear Solid gets great reviews in game
magazines, Final Fantasy does too... even the atrocity known as X-2. So
Metal Gear Solid 4 will definitely get a 9 or a 9.5 from various magazines,
but will it make me want to buy it? Hell no because 1, 2 and 3 were gigantic
disappointments to me.
Hmm... could have sworn that the GameCube's graphics weren't as good
and didn't have those funky Wiimotes.
I think you missed his subtle jab...
For one thing, there hasn't been an announcement about a 360 version of
the game, even though a lot of people think it's only a matter of time.
Even then, the PS3 version will still be a limited time exclusive.
Also, considering the worldwide sales of the PS3, does it even make sense
for Konami to do a release?

It's not broken. It's...advanced.
They better, because they already paid time and money for development.
True not officialy announced but word on the dev street is it'll be a
non-Kojima-port ,meaning a different development team. Possible
different story arc?
On the other hand,
I think Splinter Cell:Conviction is gonna be good, maybe great. I was
playing Double Agent last night and realized how good they did the
character animation and shading, its really quite artistic. Its been
awhile since I played DA I forgot how good the characters looked
,especially Sam Fisher.I wish Bioshock had more that 'real' human look
not cartooney like Bioshock or oversized arms like Gears.
Trying to get 100% stealth in DA is fun ,not just run and shoot, I love
games that require you too think more.
Well I personally don't like the series, but apparantly a lot of people due,
hence the good reviews and the large sales. Same is true for Halo (I liked
the first one, never even finished the second one). So while i personally
am not enthusiastic about those titles, I understand that a lot of people
are.
