Sadly, the last big release of 2009 from Electronic Arts is also the last game from Pandemic Studios. The LA development studio was closed as part of EAs recent layoffs, although members of the team have been moved to the EA LA office.
Tom French, lead designer of The Saboteur at EA-owned Pandemic, talks about the role history played in developing the new action game...

Annoying that console players aren't getting the full game.
Sabotage and murder are OK. Seeing tits might scar them emotionally.
DLC does nothing for people who don't use Live. It's not the same as
being on the disc.
You should probably kill yourself then .
Just to be awkward - It's my favourite game of 2009 (so far).
Like a Dan Brown novel; 'Expert' opinion is lukewarm at best, but
half-a-dozen hours in and I'm still looking forward to the next
chapter/mission.
I have played GTAs (not the latest), Assassin's Creed, and Mafia, and this
is better than all of them (IMHO).
I'm guessing that you're interested in the stealth side:
You can't (and don't need to) hide bodies. This is not realistic but it
hasn't affected the gameplay negatively.
You can wear Nazi uniforms, and most of the time you won't get caught until
you actually do something suspicious (E.g., plant a bomb). The early Hitman
games were awful because I could never wear a disguise for more than a
couple of minutes before being randomly rumbled.
You can fight your way out of danger and run-away so far that the alarms are
reset.
This is hit-and-miss. Sometimes you can execute a general and then run two
hundred yards, immediately turn round and come back and everyone's forgotten
about the misdemeanor. Other times you could drive for several Km unable to
shake the pursuers.
Silent sneaky kills are satisfying and they're a useful way of getting a
uniform. Note: obviously anyone who thinks that shooting one set of polygons
is less moral that shooting another set is an F'ing idiot. However, if you
do think that, then executing a Nazi guard in order to get his uniform will
make you feel good.
'Sneaking', strangely, alerts the Nazis quicker than running does. Walking
is best.
And, best of all, when you get into an area, no one tries to kill you until
they detect you. It sounds a bit obvious but most games trigger a firefight
as soon as you enter a room
I loved Deus Ex, Hitman (Contracts and Blood Money anyway), Splinter Cell,
and Thief - and this is on a par with those. Well not 'Deus Ex' obviously.
I'm tempted to write a full review but it doesn't seem like this game is
going to be popular enough to bother.
Hmmmm.....sounds good to me , I'll keep my eye on it for X-mas sales.
I talked to a friend who said you can upgrade the stealth.
I saw gameplay videos where the Nazi's automatically detected you
whether you were stealthy or not but if you upgrade your skills you
can stealth out as well.
Thanks for the info
Update : Best Buy has it for $40 I' might swing by and pick it up.
