What is wrong with the French?

So the G8 summit is in Alberta, Canada. The leaders fly into Calgary.
Now Calgary has this myth about being a quiet little western cowtown.
It's kind of like Houston North. Like Houston, the image is a myth. A
million people live in Calgary. But it's a harmless bit of fun.

So in Calgary they have this tradition. Whenever a VIP visits they
give him a white cowboy hat. He puts it on. Everyone takes pictures
and cheers.

How could such a harmless little thing go bad? Well I'll tell you. One
of the G8 leaders is French. That's how.

So everyone puts on the hat and smiles. Bush, all the other leaders,
all are good sports.

But Chirac refuses to put on the hat. I guess he is just too good for
regular folks. How embarrasing it must be for him to even be in the
same room as ordinary people.

I guess he didn't put it on because French isn't an official language in
Alberta.

I believe French people like Chirac should be bitch slapped.
