Xbox 'madness' fails to excite
Caitlin Fitzsimmons
14mar02

XBOX sales have been lacklustre despite months of hype, with as few 10
people turning up at some midnight openings.

http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,3950138%255E15306,00....

Toys R Us merchandise director John Radenbach said the chain held
midnight openings at stores in Canberra, Victoria, NSW, Queensland and
South Australia.

Some stores had up to 30 people attend the launch, while others had
just 10.

Mr Radenbach said this was about 30-40 per cent of the numbers for the
PlayStation 2 launch.

I've posted it many times.
Go and have a read.

One in Aust was HIH insurance. Do all the insurance on the building
industry and other things. They folded and sent a fair few others to
the wall.

In the US recently another huge company went bust.

If you want more evidence watch the news.

Or do some research for a change.

There was one company a fair few years back that had shares at 1c, got
up to over $300 and then went bust. MS shares can go from $100 to
nothing. History is filled with silly people that thought companies
could not fold. 1987 was a perfect example, saw many billion dollar
corps go bust.

History is filled with examples of multi billion dollar companies that
have gone bust.

Have a look at a fair few banks that have folded, here and overseas.
Also look at a fair few insurance companies.

Why do you think there are so many merges these days?

If Xbox was a seperate company it would have folded last year.
Wait until MS gets stripped up into 3 seperate businesses by the anti
trust law suit the US federal government has waging. MS is doing
appeals but that will only drag it out a year or so longer.

When MS gets stripped into three companies the games division will
need to be making money otherwise they will fold.

Xbox not expected to make any profits until 2006.

sorry slappy, but HIH was insolvent and did not have cash reserves.  That is
why they went broke.

As I originally pointed out, and you continue to ignore, is just because a
company is big doesn't mean its financially strong.  Allan Bond had one of
the biggest empires in Australia during the 80's, however his total debt was
always about 1 billion more than his total assets.  Now you might say that
Kerry Packer will go broke because Allan Bond was just as big and he went
broke.  Ever wonder why Kerry not only didn't go bust but consolidated his
empire through the crash og the late 80's?  This is just as absurd as you
now feebly trying to draw a parallel between a financially strong company
with billions in cash reserves like Microsoft to an insolvent company with
no cash reserves like HIH.

However given your demonstrated lack of cognitive abilities and knowledge on
these subjects I've long given up on getting any sort of cohesive argument
from you.  All I'm asking is that you tell us which insurance companies with
"much more cash reserves" than microsoft have gone bust.  2nd hint:  Its not
HIH.

Your a moron if you think a big company can't fold.

Look through history, doesn't take much to see a company rule the
world then fold.

There are thousands of examples. Do the research.
I do not need to as it's common knowledge that big companies with huge
cash reserves do fold. Only half wits and bafoons think otherwise.

again, ps2 inanus dodges the question...

Back to your origional argument, you think MS is going to fold because it's
only selling slightly better at launch than the PS2 did?

ohwait, better not go back to your origional argument, that sounded even
less logical...

I have never implied that.  Big companies fold all the time.  However not
companies like microsoft with billions in cash reserves.  And the fact that
you can't distinguish between company size and financial strength speakes
volumes for your level of denial, or stupiditiy....or both come to think of
it.

> Look through history, doesn't take much to see a company rule the

Wasn't it me who pointed out the collapse of the Bond empire?  your logic
seems infantile to say the least.  How old are you anyway?  Under 15 would
be my guess....too young to even begin to comprehend the extent of your
ignorance.

> There are thousands of examples. Do the research.

your illogicalities and hatred of xbox/microsoft are trivial to me at this
point.  The issue at hand is that you stated that insurance companies with
"much more cash reserves" than microsoft have gone bust, yet you have failed
to give us the name of these supposed companies, which suggests that the
only place they exist is in your warped little fantasy world.

HIH were insolvent.  They had no cash reserves.  Thats why they went bust
you dimwit.  So either back up your statement or admit you were speaking out
of your ass and don't have the slightest fucking clue what you are talking
about.

c'mon slappy, its not the worst thing in the world to admit you're wrong,
and with your limited ability to reason combined with misguided arrogance on
matters which you know little about I'm guessing its something you'll need
to be  be doing a lot through your adolescent years.
