Hi,
Got SBLive Value and Matrox G200 for my birthday last week.
Really happy with the G200 as its my 1st 3d card, and even if its not
as fast or funky as other cards, *it looks good to me*.
Anyway, Unreal came with the SBLive, and after finding it only ran
at reasonable speed at 640x480 on my K6-200, I looked and Lo!
It was software only, no d3d/openGL support.
Trawled the websites, and found about the 2.24 patch. It said that
it wouldn't work with versions bundled with hardware between 2.09 and
2.19 *or something*. Looking further, looks like SBLive support was
in 2.09. So does that mean I can't use the 2.24 patch with my copy?
What about other ones, eg 2.19?
Don't want to try only to find it screws stuff up or whatever.
Also, heard that 2.24 doesn't support the SBLive properly now. After
mucking about with the game (not playing properly without hardware 3d)
I found the EAX,etc support it had was pretty cool, and I wouldn't want
to lose that with a patch.
Cheers for any info...
