Is this the correct place to post a problem with Rune? For those of
you who don't know, Rune is a game made with the Unreal engine. I'm
having the same problem lots are having. But none of the solutions
work. If I can post it here, Let me know. I would really appreciate
it.

Sometimes when I get a free evening I set up a simple co-op ded server just
to play some. It never fails I get joiners within the hour. That's saying
lots for a game that old.

Do you have a name for that server?
Might just install Unreal and join in ...

Tell you what, I'm gonna fire that bad boy up Friday morning and let it run
co-op all weekend if anyone wants to play.

You can pull the game off P2P (for anyone else wanting to relive some old

Unreal Gold is patched on install. It's all you'll need, it even has the Na
Pali stuff. 226 was the final (supported) version. There are people still
developing the game believe it or not, and i think they have put out several
more newer versions, but the Gold disk is the last Epic condones. Oh, and I
have seen some patches on P2P for the Unreal Gold disk. You DO NOT need
those. I'm not sure what they are.

Ok. Rune closes, and I get this error. It happens at very random times
while playing. I have gotten the latest drivers, everything else. I'm
not a computer noob. Yet this wont go away.

Haha sorry for stealing your thread :)

To me that error looks D3D related.
Try to switch to OpenGL and see if it goes away.

Thanks, I have tried that before. I don't remember what problem I had,
so I'll do it again and let you know. And please steal my thread :P
If you guys are talking here, its more likely you will notice when I
have an update :D

OK server is up. If you guys want to join and use cheats (which is cool by
me, its just a playthrough) join the server, then open a command line and
put this in:

open 68.186.7.125?password=ownage
<the only space is right after open>
Then you can do these:
summon asmd
summon razorjack
summon rifle
god
allammo
etc....
Yes, you can screw my server up with admin access. Yes, I know that. No, I
don't think you will or I wouldn't share it here. There are other scripts to
enable loaded weapons and stuff but the downloads are SO SLOW its better to
leave it vanilla.

Drop me a line here or on my email agutgopostal(at)hotmail(dot)com if you
have trouble. I'll leave the server up over the weekend. If it's not up,
give it a few minutes and try again. I do a daily reboot to flush my system.
