Are Crystal Balls important? Can you sell them? They are everywhere
and I still do not know what to do with them. Any help available on
this one?

Plain old crystal balls are useless, as best I can determine. You can
find them laying around all over the place, and the Vesper bank always
has some laying outside. The only thing I've found them good for is
baiting trapped chests... They weigh 10 stones each, so if you drop a
few into a trapped chest, it looks like there's something big inside
and people are more likely to open the chest ;)

There are some different kinds of crystal balls which are rare. These
generate an aura of light, and will say something when you click on
them... Some of them tell your fortune, some will sing, and some are
like "magic 8 balls" and will give you a random answer when you click
on them. If you find one of these, hang onto it, it's rare. Price
guides are at www.markeedragon.com/uo.

I think you should be able to cast spell and target a crystal ball. Then
you can double click on the ball later and cast the spell without using
regs. Of course you would still have to recite the spell and go through the
movements. This is kind of like inscribing a scroll... heh
