Tomb Raider : Legend

never played a Laracroft game before. Is the Legend a good buy? Any
weird bug?

Legend is probably a good place to jump in. It's the beginning of the
latest storyline; Underworld is a sequel to Legend (although I'm sure you
don't HAVE to play Legend first).

I'm partial to the original 2 or 3 games that came out for the PS1 over a
decade ago, but I do like the new series, too. (Actually, it's too early
for me to give an opinion on Underworld; I've just started it.)

I'd say Legend is a good choice.

Anniversary was quite good also. Some of the timed runs towards the end were
a serious pain in the butt - so much so that after 50 tries I finally gave
up and found a save game so I could bypass it, muttering all the time about
breaking the dev's fingers so they would never write code like that again...
But overall Anniversary was quite good.

AOD was...different. I can't even get it to run on my computer, and I'm not
highly motivated to find out why.

I have two authentic original copies. The deal breaker is XP64 - it doesn't
seem to want to run under a 64 bit OS. The patches won't even run, so I had
to patch them manually. Didn't help any. All of the other TRs will run. I
can even run TR1 via DosBox. But no AOD.

I just bought Legend at Office Depot for $5.00. The disk is by Cosmi. They
have them 2 for $9.99.
I have restarted it several times and can't get her off the rocks or keep
her out of the water.
This is my first Laura game and I am not too good at it.
BTW, several years ago there were "skins" available for some games that
changed the clothing and weapon options for the characters.
Anyone know if "skins" have been written for Croft?
