TOMB RAIDER a new game from Crystal Dynamics
LOS ANGELES, USA - December 6th, 2010 - Square Enix Ltd. is excited today
to announce TOMB RAIDER®, the new game from Redwood City based studio
Crystal Dynamics.
"After a brutal storm destroys the boat she was travelling on, a frightened
young woman is left washed ashore on an unknown beach. On her own but not
alone she has only one goal, to survive."
Here begins the first adventure for a young and inexperienced Lara Croft in
a story which charts the journey of an ordinary woman who finds out just how
far she must go in order to stay alive.
"Forget everything you know about TOMB RAIDER, we are exploring things that
have never been done before in this game," said Darrell Gallagher, Head of
Studio, Crystal Dynamics. "This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft
and takes her on a character defining journey like no other."

The last time we were told to forget everything we knew about Tomb Raider,
didn't we get Angel of Darkness?

Dam you John. Now I feel sick. Not another AOD. Please
Nooooooooooooooooooooo.
First, forget everything you know about TR 1 through Chronicles. Got
it? Now forget everything you know about Angel of Darkness. Then
forget Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. OK? Finally, if you played
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, forget that. Now we're good to
go for the next Tomb Raider! Yay! :D

I like the concept of the new game and awaiting a demo to have a play with
before the release.
I only hope my PC will run it.With the constant change in system
requirements it's the extra cost on top of the purchase of the game that
worries me (and the wife, she pays for it)
Bob.

Nooooooooo...last night I picked up LCGoL for the first time in a couple of
months, and discovered that there is a setting to make aiming far easier on
the PC. And I actually do really like it now. So I can't quite forget it
yet! ;-)

I don't really understand the forget everything part - the story
actually fits into the story we already know so it's not like a reboot
or something.
Maybe they mean gameplaywise - there are rumours about multiplayer etc.
