either download "clowncatchers from the ea site or buy a fireplace, put
the clown picture right over it, put a piece of furniture right next to
the fireplace and start a fire. Clown will burn to death.

Thanks to all for your help....I think the clown portrait is the cause of it.
He didn't show up until I put the painting up.

Sims dipped down into the "red" on their happy/sad meter........get the
clown catchers, burn the painting, or just cheer your sims up....
I keep a clown painting in almost every house to keep me on my toes.....when
he shows up, i know i'm slackin'.......

Since I d/l'd the Clown Catchers from the sims site, no matter how
hard I try, I can't get the clown to show back up in my house. I'd
really like to see them (clown catchers) in action.

socialise........i think Social is one of the strongest factors in
"Happy/Sad".......it seems to drag me into the red, even when everything
else is all good......

Oh, I know what usually works. Before the clown catcher download, I
could get the clown to show up, if I wanted. But now it won't show up
at all, no matter how low my sim's levels are.

Yes. I had no problem getting the clown to show up in this one
particular house (the one where the guy has been abducted 5 times),
then, after d/l'ing clown catcher, no more clown, no matter what I do.
I even bought a few more & placed around the house, but no clown.
